April 2018

Spring Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt, Thank you for praying and for financially giving toward our ministry. You have faithfully prayed and God has provided for both your needs and for our needs. Without Him, we can do nothing! With Him, nothing is impossible.

January 30, 2018

Greetings to each of you from Steve and Sandy Aholt,

“The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord comes:” Acts 2:20.

We have witnessed another act that God set into motion. The promise of “that great and notable day” remains yet unfulfilled. God is faithful and true! He is coming soon.

November 2017

Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt,

Thank you so much for your prayers and financial support. We thank God for you all daily, and we pray that each of you will be drawing closer to Him daily – because without Him, we can do nothing.

God continues to bless us with good health and strength to stand against the wiles of the devil. We see so many people falling away from Bible principles and living according to the world. These are some of the signs that we were warned that would happen in the last days. Perilous times!

September 2017

Dear Praying Friends,

We are so thankful for the important part that each one of you has in our life. God knew exactly what He was doing when He joined us together in ministry. We pray daily that each one of us would rely more fully on the LORD – for without Him, we can do nothing.

July 2017

Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt,

We so much appreciate you faithful prayers and your financial support of our ministry. We labor daily to reach the lost wherever we are and to build up the church in Papua New Guinea. The materials that we have translated and edited are being used effectively, to reach lost souls for Christ, and to help Christians minister more effectively. We thank you LORD for each one of these – our faithful prayer warriors, supporters, and friends!

June 2017

Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt,

We are so thankful for your prayers for us. God has kept us safe and healthy for which we praise Him daily. Steve just had a complete medical physical with all reports coming back favorably. The doctor said that the bad cholesterol is supposed to be less than 160 and Steve’s was 74. Sandy is a “good thing” in my life for whom I thank God daily. She is taking good care of us both. Sandy has an appointment for her physical at the end of this month. Her vision changed enough to require new glasses. However, there is no significant change in her glaucoma field tests. Praise the Lord!

March 2017

Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt,

Thank you for your sending us emails, cards, your faithful prayers, and generous financial support. We are grateful for God’s faithfulness to us through each of you – and for your faithfulness in what the Lord has blessed you with.

We are still adjusting to life and ministry working here in Raytown, MO based here at our house. After working in Papua New Guinea for twenty years, it has been an adjustment for us to be doing a different type of ministry. Sandy is doing a successful job at turning this house into a home for us – the house that I, Steve, was born in.

New Year’s greetings 2017

Greetings from Steve and Sandy,

May each of you have a healthy and safe ending to 2016. May God continue to give you His richest blessing during 2017 as you stay close to Him.

As we near the end of 2016 we hear all kind of things on the news. Well, I heard something that you may be able to help with. “If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that” (James 4:15).

December 2016

Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt,

We greatly appreciate your faithful prayers and sacrificial support of our labor for Christ. God is at work in our lives.

The editing of the book of Philippians has been completed. Thank you for your prayers as God gave wisdom to make this work a great success in communicating God’s thoughts more clearly. Please pray for the translation team as they make decisions that will either revitalize this work or bring this translation to an end. There have been goals that are necessary for the team to achieve, for this work to continue. Those goals have not been met.

November 2016

Thanksgiving Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt,

We are assured that being thankful does not depend on what is going on around us. God is at the very center of everything that goes on in our lives. We are so thankful for what God has done in our lives, that we mindfully leave His fingerprints wherever we go. We want to be sure that if we are ever arrested for being a Christian, that there will be enough evidence to convict us – to the glory of God.

Aholt Advances October 2016

Fall Greetings to you from Steve and Sandy Aholt

Thank you again for your faithful prayers and support of our ministry. We are making some fine adjustments to our financial account at ABWE, as we adjust to working out of our home, here in the USA. We continue to trust God to provide for our needs through you – our faithful prayer and financial support foundation.

Aholt Advances September 2016

Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt,

Thanks to each of you for your faithful prayers and financial support of our ministry. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Our furlough has been extended by six months for us to raise additional support. We are still short about $550 per month. Please pray for God to supply this financial need by December.

June 2016

Hello from Steve and Sandy Aholt,

Thank you for your continued faithful prayers and financial support for our ministry for Christ. After twenty years in Papua New Guinea (PNG), God has led us to the USA to continue our labor for Him here. We are in the midst of transition from a ministry based in PNG to a ministry based in the USA.

Thank you also for your prayers for our physical needs. We are doing well and have no new changes to report about for now. Praise the Lord!

Our mission, ABWE, is wanting us to officially change our field of work from Papua New Guinea (PNG) to the USA. This will require the ABWE Board to approve this change at their November meeting. The Board has recently voted to extend our furlough for six months for us to raise some additional support.

April 2016

Dear Praying Friends and Supporters,

Thank you so much for your continued prayers and financial support of our ministry for Christ. Because, without Him, we can do nothing! He has asked us to pray that more laborers will be sent.

We are temporarily based in Winston-Salem, through April, to finish reporting to our supporters in this area of the nation. We then will return to our home base in Kansas City, MO. Please pray for safety as we travel.

Through various circumstances, in Papua New Guinea, we saw that God was trying to show us that He was closing the door on our aviation work. We came home four months early due to medical needs.

March 2016

Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt – presently in West Virginia,

Thank you for your prayers as we have travelled east. We had some sweet, but brief, times with our daughter and her family for three days. The children in school, both parents working, plus Aaron taking online classes made the time with them very brief.

February 29, 2016

Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt,

Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support of our ministry. We have been completing our home ministry of reporting in the KC area.

Thank you also for your continued prayers as we travel eastward to visit friends and family on our way. One couple, Phil and Jan Smith, will be departing the USA to work with ABWE in Papua New Guinea soon. They are presently held up due to visa issues. Thank you for your prayers about their visa situation and as they say, “Farewell!” to their friends and family.

Christmas 2015

Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt,

We received the following thank you note from Steve and Medlin Ottio. This is from the pastor and his wife in Papua New Guinea whom you were praying for following Medlin’s snake bite:

“Thank you all our friends and partners for praying with us in times of trials and troubles. God bless you all and a “Happy Merry Christmas!”

We also want to express a “Happy Merry Christmas” to each of you! Yes, we can be happy and merry during these perilous times.

November 2015

Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt – back in Raytown, MO,

Thanks to each of you for your continued prayers and financial support during our home ministry. We have reported to about one-half of our supporters.

God gave us a beautiful scenic trip through the Appalachian Mountains. The firmament truly shows His handiwork. We will be based in Missouri during the winter months until March, when we return to North Carolina to complete our home ministry reporting.

October 2015

Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt,

Thank you for taking the time to pray about the new Word ministry option for us. The Papua New Guinea field council took the time to discuss our request to do Pidgin translation work, with the ABWE Word ministry, with us being based in the USA, in their recent meeting. They decided that this ministry can only be done by someone within the county of Papua New Guinea. Thus, we are not the people to do this ministry for them. We believe that God has heard and answered our prayers. We know that He always answers with what is best for our lives. We will continue on in our Home Ministry assignment of reporting to our supporters.

September 2015

Labor Day Greetings 2015 from Steve and Sandy Aholt,

We hope that your Labor Day was enjoyable and safe. We spent the weekend with a group of people from a church that has supported us for 21 years.

September is a big month for us in decisions that will be made about our future ministry. We need for you to please pray about this.

As many of you know, we voted with our ABWE Papua New Guinea (PNG) field council to close the aviation program. This decision was made due to lack of personnel to run that ministry. An airplane has many costs associated with it, even if the airplane is not flown. Our ABWE Aviation Administrator decided that it was time to sell the airplane. So, we sold the airplane in February 2014.

July 26, 2015

Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt,

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support during our home ministry. According to ABWE records, we are about $840 per month under supported. God will provide for all of our need. Please add this to your prayer list.

We have begun our travels following Steve’s recovery from his carpal tunnel syndrome surgery, on both of his hands. He is still experiencing some pain and numbness in his right hand. Thankfully, the surgery was to prevent this from getting worse. The doctor wants to do more nerve testing due to the continued numbness.

June 2015

Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt,

Daily, we meet people wherever we go. We are ready to ask them life’s most important question, “If you died right now, do you know for sure that you would go to Heaven?” We have a supply of these small tracts from Macedonia Gospel Publication that shows them how they can know for sure. If we are faithful in sowing and watering, God will give the increase. What plan have you used this week to share your faith in Christ with others?

April 2015

Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt,

Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support of our ministry.  We are faithfully serving the Lord here in Raytown, Missouri.

Steve began physical therapy on his right hand two weeks ago Friday.  He had his carpal tunnel syndrome surgery on his left hand last week Wednesday.  Steve was wheeled in for his surgery at 8:30 and woke up in the recovery room at 9:15.
