Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt,

If you haven’t done so already, please change our email address now! Our old address is being phased out to reduce expenses. ABWE updated our address as of January 1st to aholtadvances@abwego.org.

Thank you for bountifully giving and faithfully praying for us. We are asking the LORD daily to bless each of you who have so faithfully stood with us over these past 35 years of ministry. We are reminded daily that this short life will soon be past, and only what is done for Christ will last.

We are on the Spiritual Care Team at Journey Church International (JCI). Our volunteer work at church keeps us both involved in ministry each week.

JCI’s annual 21 Days of Prayer ended with three nights of evangelistic services. The first night of preaching resulted in 121 people standing to indicate that they had never asked Jesus to save them from their sin. The Holy Spirit is still working, and people are responding to what He is saying.

There are so many people who desire for God to answer their prayers – like answered yesterday! We serve an awesome God who lives up to his promises to provide for all of our needs.

Soma and Clive are two of our friends from Papua New Guinea (PNG) who just got married. We have known them since they were young. Soma found a wedding dress at a second-hand store. Someone was altering the dress and ruined it. Soma texted us and asked if we could find a new dress. Within forty-eight hours, a couple in Florida found a dress. Soma saw a picture of the dress and said, “It looks perfect!” They had the dress cleaned over the weekend and shipped it Next Day Air to Tennessee. The couple in Tennessee received the dress on Tuesday. They departed Thursday, with the dress, on their trip to attend Soma’s wedding. The dress fit perfectly. Sometimes, God answers prayer quickly. Thank you, LORD!

Sometimes, God’s answer to prayer is delayed. God uses this time to refine us to better reflect His love, joy, and peace to those around us. Waiting gives us time to learn to be more gentle and good, so our faith will grow stronger to glorify the LORD!

God has led us through nearly fifty years of marriage (October 11th). Our past life experiences have equipped us to show others God’s faithfulness through life’s trials, which has brought encouragement for them to strengthen their faith in a God who never fails. God has promised that he will never leave us alone.

listening for the trump,

Steve and Sandy Aholt
