The Lord has led us to the island of New Ireland. New Ireland is one of Papua New Guinea’s many islands. It is a very narrow island that is about 200 miles long, and has over 100,00 people on it. We are working in the southern part of the island, doing church planting. Our first work is in the village of Sohun. Prior to our arrival to the village, there was a small group of Christians already meeting. During our first survey trip there, we met them, and they told us they have been praying for three years that the Lord would send a missionary. We had no idea about any of this, prior to our surrender to go to PNG, and in particular New Ireland. I plan on helping to establish the work at Sohun, and then using Sohun as base to reach into many of the villages in the southern part of the island. Please pray for the Lord’s direction, wisdom, and blessing on the ministry He as called us to.
