Dear friends, First of all, let me share that the Lord has answered your prayers for an Academic Dean! Just last week Gene Stevenson was offered–and accepted–the role of Academic Dean. He is in his late-30’s, is pursuing his doctorate, and has a great passion for cross-cultural ministry–and a growing burden for Native Americans. GeneContinue reading May 2019
Dear friends and family Yes, we are really back here in PNG. David received the ‘all clear’ from the doctors in Australia so we are ready to roll again as soon as we have a few days R&R to recharge our batteries. It has been stressful the last few months changing back and forth betweenContinue reading May 2019
Ecclesiastes 7:8 — “The conclusion of something is better than its beginning, and a patient attitude is more valuable than a proud one.” (ISV) With much longing and lamenting so ends this era of life here in Papua New Guinea. It’s certainly been the best 39+ years a person could hope to live. Though myContinue reading May 2019
In late 2015, God moved me back home to Wisconsin from Chihuahua Mexico. But He graciously provided an itinerate ministry so I could continue serving Him in missions! This means I can still be a part of the work in Mexico, but base out of Neenah, Wisconsin.
The afternoon sun cast a warm glow through the classroom windows as the five of us interacted around the table. Whenever there was a lag in the discussion I interjected some new thoughts and allowed the students time to respond. Their ability to think and process improved noticeably over the course of the semester. IContinue reading May 2019
Dear Team Members, Out love to you at this GORGEOUS time of the year, with flowers blooming and cardinals and woodpeckers around, all a part of God’s AWESOME creation! We are full of THANKFULNESS for the part you all have in our lives!!!

Grandparenthood is the best! We had such a wonderful time taking care of and loving on our new granddaughter, Kate Evelyn Atkins, for 10 unforgettable days in March! Other grandparents have told us how wonderful it is to be a grandparent and that there is nothing like it. Well, we are here to tell youContinue reading Spring Edition 2019
Hello! Some people have asked us about Ethnos360 videos. You can go to their website and see many of them. I have listed 3 below.
Dear Friends, Greetings from Canada! Just about 12 days ago I started my rugged journey around the world. For my first 2 flights, I was able to travel with friends from Hoskins which was a special gift from the Lord! Nice to have someone to visit with for a long day of flying. We partedContinue reading Late April 2019
Hey there, Here is an update about the plane situation that UIM-Aviation is dealing with right now. In the picture below you can barely see this tiny crack that has caused so much stress! A tiny crack that says “danger if you land me.” A tiny crack that Paul and the other mechanics (Tony &Continue reading Late April 2019
Greetings all – just a short note to let you know that I landed in our home town of Kearney, Nebraska at 10:30 last night. Jeanne was there at the airport to meet me and so good to be home once again! Also really good to lay down on our own bed last night afterContinue reading End of April 2019
The Koppen Family has been very active these last four months. This is a glimpse into our lives in 2019.
Hello, I pray that as you or your loved one travels this “cancer road,” you will find hope for the future and an encouragement to keep your focus on Jesus. “For God alone my soul waits in silence. From Him comes my salvation. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I shallContinue reading April 2019
Dear friends and family Well, things are changing around here. First Wendy goes off to Brisbane to support her brother and sister-in-law in her sister-in-law’s sickness and now I am going down to join her(Wendy). On Tuesday I had a sudden rise in blood pressure. The doctors here are wondering why, so they asked meContinue reading April 19, 2019
Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt, Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support of our ministry. God is blessing abundantly. Lives are being changed, people are being saved, getting baptized, and faithfully serving our LORD.
Dear Team Members, Our love to you as we approach the Celebration of our Savior’s Death, Burial, and Resurrection. Soooo much has happened this past month which is why we are late getting this Update out. Some of you may have seen on Face Book of all that has gone on!!!!! We had been feelingContinue reading April 2019
Thank you so much for your prayers for our two significant events last month! Both the ANAM Southwest Regional (where IBC staff have students served three years in a row) and the workshop at the ABHE Convention went exceedingly well.
“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had.” Romans 15:5 Well friends, it’s time for another (overdue) update from the Island of Stone Money! It’s hard to believe that 15 years ago, I joined PMA as a pilot/mechanic and came toContinue reading Spring 2019
Because you prayed…. Our annual regional Conference proved to be a refreshing AND challenging time for all! Fellowship and family frivolity added to the fun. Feasting for the Soul came from passages in 2 Corinthians as 2 of our mission leaders shared that we are: Christ’s Fragrance – 2 Cor 2:14-17; His Letters — 2Continue reading April 2019
Dear friends, We have completed the introductory section of Romans where Paul introduces himself, greets the Roman Christians and gives an introduction to the gospel he preaches. There is a lot of interest in the teaching right now which is a bit frustrating as I am teaching believers and when people come in who haven’tContinue reading April 6, 2019
Thank you for your prayers for the students as they ministered both on the Navajo Reservation (Shonto area) and in Oklahoma and Texas. The two teams wearily pulled in to IBC on Friday. Many of the students are now home or elsewhere for some rest before resuming classes Monday, April 8. The photos give youContinue reading April 2019
Dear family and friends, Greetings to you in the Name of Jesus! No man is greater than his prayer life. The pastor who is not praying is playing; the people who are not praying are straying. We have many organizers, but few agonizers; many players and payers, few pray-ers; many singers, few clingers; lots ofContinue reading April 2019
Love is in the air! Dear friends, Since we last wrote you right around Christmas, much has happened. We are excited to share some big news with you both on the home front and the ministry front as well.
Dear Friends, There is so much to be grateful for these days! Mostly, thank you so much for your faithful prayers. Many have written over the last couple of days and said that they were praying faithfully for the translation check that my Mengen helpers were doing along with our mission translation consultants. “He whoContinue reading March 30, 2019
