Dear friends and prayer partners,
We are grateful for the many ways the Lord moved during our time in Aruba. One special highlight was the opportunity Shena and Jonathan had to minister to local leaders through a time of training and encouragement. Drawing from Jonathan’s new book, The Donkey and The Colt: Experience Embracing Enthusiasm, he shared a timely message about the beauty of unity between seasoned leadership and emerging voices in ministry.
Using the image of Jesus riding into Jerusalem on both a donkey and a colt, Jonathan shared a powerful reminder for ministry today: God works through both experience and fresh vision. The donkey represents seasoned leaders—pastors and elders—whose wisdom, faithfulness, and steady guidance have been shaped through years of service. The colt represents emerging leaders who bring passion, fresh perspective, and enthusiasm for what God will do next. Together, they picture the strength of partnership in ministry. When generations serve side by side, the church is strengthened, the mission is renewed, and the work of God moves forward with even greater fruitfulness.
The seminar was well attended, and the ministry continued that Sunday through a meaningful time of pulpit ministry. We are thankful for the doors the Lord
