Brad and I want to “be all there” wherever God leads us. We both work in the Latham Center. This building was named after Lance (Doc) Latham. In 1942, four men met together and started New Tribes Mission. One of those men was Lance Latham. “New Tribes Mission shall encourage potential candidates for foreign missionary service. They shall be chosen upon evidence that they have a consistent passion for souls, are soul-winners at homes, and have a firm grasp of the fundamental doctrines of the Word of God. New Tribes Mission’s efforts shall be directed toward those fields where no other missionary effort is being made and where no witness of the gospel has yet reached.” The first New Tribes Mission missionaries bound for Bolivia boarded the boat to sail on November 10, 1942. The team consisted of ten adults with six children. By the time they reached their final destination where they were going to be missionaries, they had already led 100 people to the Lord! You can read the complete story in “Founded, the Heritage of Ethnos360”. This was published to celebrate the recent 75th anniversary of New Tribes Mission (1942 – 2017).

Our lives seem to be made up of these little occasions. We are both busy about the Lord’s work as we minister at NTM Homes. We are thankful that many years ago our mission leaders considered building a retirement center for our older missionaries. Our purpose statement reads “NTM Homes exists to provide attractive, affordable, efficient, and economical housing for retired Ethnos360 missionaries. This facility and its staff endeavor to provide a nurturing and caring environment, attempting to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of its residents. “ This really is a wonderful place! It takes a team of people to meet the needs of these senior saints. God has allowed the two of us to play a part on this team.

Hurricane Irma has passed us and is no more. We are all safe here at Ethnos 360 (New Tribes Mission) in Sanford, Florida. We praise and thank the Lord for this.
All of our NTM Homes duplex residents are still without power. This means Brad and me as well. It sounds like we could be without power from 3 to 10 days. We do not yet have phone or internet service. We have a small gas burner, so Brad can make his morning coffee and we can heat up the canned food that we have purchased and have on hand. I made a pan of popcorn last night. We are doing fine.

Greetings to you! It is a beautiful sunny afternoon here in central Florida. Brad and I made a trip to Maryland in the middle of June. We were able to visit quite a number of folks as well as visited 3 different churches. We were away from home for 13 days. We are allowed a certain number of days per year for vacation as well as a specific number of days for partnership development. Since we are now on home staff here at NTM Homes, we do not have a time of home assignment (or furlough). Therefore we need to fit a whole lot into each of the days that we are away from our ministry responsibilities.

Greetings in the precious name of Jesus! We can say that because His name is so very precious! Jesus is the reason we live and have purpose in this life. He desires to receive all the praise and glory due His name. We are only His servants that He chooses to use, so that He may receive that glory.
