Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt,
Thank you for your prayes for us during our retirement.
God is answering your prayers in wonderful ways:
- God is blessing us with good health and wellbeing. Dedicated, not medicated!
- God persists in providing for us financially in our retirement years. Thank you! God will provide for all our needs. Our home and sending church, from 1991-2021, is going through pastoral and leadership changes. They will be making vital decisions about finances relating to missions. They have been our largest financial supporter during our active missionary status and during our retirement. Please pray that they will find a new pastor.
- Steve shared Christ with a man from Morocco who is a Muslim. They had a good discussion about the complarisons between our faith beliefs. The Koran sayd that Jesus never died on the cross. His disciples found a look-alike to die in Jesus’ place, and his disciples hid Jesus away. Steve asked him if he thought that his mother would recognize him from an imposter? He replied, “Yes!” Steve showed him from the Bible that Mary saw her son die on the cross, and that three days later she saw him alive again. He looked at me and said, “I have never heard that before!” We each prayed before we parted ways. He prayed that God would show him the truth. Please pray for him to understand that Jesus died and that Jesus came back to life again after three days.
- We attended our grandson Zane’s graduation from the Delaware Area Career Center (DACC) with a Welding and Sheet Metal Fabrication Certificate. Zane is 1 of 11 people in the Westerville City Schools who earned a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from DACC. This certification means that he demonstrated his ability to apply data-driven problem-solving skills and process improvement strategies. Employers consider these certified individuals as highly valuable in today’s workforce. He also graduated from Westerville South High School with a Diploma. Zane is now diligently working to get his Ohio Driver’s License. A license is required before he can officially apply to a construction company where he has shadowed with a welder during his DACC training.
- Coralee, our granddaughter, has enrolled to begin the education process to become a pediatric nurse. She has a fascination in the physiology and the anatomy of the human body. She loves working with children and is presently working as a nanny. She would like to use her full potential in the medical field.
- We both have volunteered to help with Kid’s Camp next week. There is 727 kids K-6th grade last year.
- We will celebrate 50 years of marriage on October 11th. God continues to refine us and remind us of who we are, whose we are, and that we should always, as my mom said, “Practice what you preach!”
Listening for the trump,
Steve and Sandy Aholt
