We trust that you were blessed with an enjoyable 4th of July! Independence Day reminds us of the founding of our great country and the men and women, who sacrificed their lives so that we can live free in America! We thank God for them! And we thank God for our Lord Jesus Christ, who through his sacrifice on the cross has given spiritual freedom to all who trust in Him for eternal life!
Pre-field Orientation
Ethnos360 Pre-field Orientation (PFO) was held in June. The number of new Associate members was much lower than in previous years and so this year the attendees met together in a virtual forum. The Home office in Sanford, Florida, the Ethnos360 Bible Institute in Wisconsin and Papua New Guinea are the ministry destinations for these new 2023 Associate Members. Would you please pray that the Lord would provide for the needs of these individuals as they step out in faith to serve Him on the Ethnos360 Team. And secondly, that there would be a much greater number of individuals applying and qualifying for associate membership with Ethnos360 for 2024. Thank you!
Encounter Trip to the Philippines:
In our previous update I wrote about the Ethnos360 Encounter teams for which we were screening a great number of applications. The 14-member Encounter team to the Philippines has returned from their two-week trip. It was good to hear from the team leader. He said that the team was made up primarily of students from different colleges and the Ethnos360 Bible Institute. For the first week they helped with the mission field conference, held a VBS for the children of Ethnos360 missionaries (for which the missionary parents were thrilled!), plus attended teaching sessions regarding missionary work. The second week of the trip included exposures to Filipino culture and a trip to a remote tribal church plant where an Ethnos360 missionary couple have teamed up with five national missionary couples. The team was blessed to be able to help with the house construction of one of the Filipino couples. The feedback from team members is that they learned much about Ethnos360 mission work. Many of them are planning to go into career training with Ethnos360. Praise the Lord!

Kuyu People
Last year I wrote about the Kuyu people and the missionary team that was in the process of moving into this people group to bring them the good news of Jesus Christ. The team has accomplished moving into their tribal location. This year they are involved with culture and language learning. Prior to the team moving into their tribal location one of the leaders had told them, “We have everything we need for physical life, but we don’t have what we need for spiritual life.” Please pray for the missionaries to the Kuyu people that they would gain a clear understanding of the Kuyu culture plus make good time in becoming fluent in the Kuyu language. This is extremely important so that they can begin teaching the truths of the Word of God.

Diann managing the garden!
Under the summer sun here in Kennewick our garden is starting to produce! At this stage we have harvested beans, a few beets and of course zucchini! Soon we will be getting potatoes, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, carrots and summer squash. Looking forward to that! Last week our neighbor gave us a generous amount of Bing and Rainier cherries. Yum!
Thank you! Thank you for partnering with us in prayer and finance for the purpose of seeing people groups in remote areas of the world reached with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Together with you for Him,
Dave & Diann
