Isaiah 61:11 “For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign LORD will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations.”
Summer is almost over with the fall season soon to be upon us. It gets hot in the tri-cities during the summer months so the cooler fall season is eagerly anticipated. And speaking of summer, the summer programs of Ethnos360 were well attended. Interface (6 week college mission program), Encounter (International Short Term Mission Trips), and Wayumi ( Mission program in Pennsylvania).
Interface (ITF) —The tagline for this Ethnos360 mission program says, “Discover the heart of cross-cultural missions. Come face-to-face with unknown realities as you learn from missionaries in the field. Your life will never be the same-“ The two 6 week college age Interface programs were held in Papua New Guinea and Brazil with a total of 46 participants. It’s encouraging to know that a great percentage of the participants are planning to go into ministry or missions. Encounter — A number of the summer short term trips have been completed with one currently underway in Papua New Guinea. This winter there are 2 Encounter trips scheduled and destined for South Asia and the Southeast Asia Mainland. And there are 6 Encounter trips scheduled for the summer of 2026. All of them international in destination.
Wayumi — The Expedition’s program is for 9-12 grade. This summer there were 308 participants representing youth groups from 14 states learning about missions with Ethnos360 on the Wayumi campus in Pennsylvania. PTL!
Associate program—I continue my work with individuals applying to be associate members with Ethnos360. From reports the Pre-field Orientation in June went well for the new 2025 Associate Members. Your preayers for them as they raise support, say their goodbyes and travel to their place of ministry is greatly appreciated! I continue my work with individuals who are applying to be associate members with Ethnos360. Please pray for these folks who are applying for associate membership for 2026 that their communications in the process would be timely and efficient.
Papua New Guinea — Mouk Teachers — Rick and Anji Zook (Rick is our former co-worker’s son) along with Mouk church elders are ministering to the Lusi people group. Rick is also teaching 6 Mouk teachers Bible lessons through the book of Hebrews. This is by request. The Zooks are teaching skills that will better equip the Mouk Bible teachers in writing their own lessons. Thank you for praying for Rick & Angie and the Mouk teachers.
Co-workers—Dave & Jill Simpson. It was our pleasure to have Dave & Jill with us for a week this summer and show them some sights in the Pacific Northwest. They serve at the home office in Florida and had never been to the Pacific Northwest. Dave said the trip checked all of the boxes! It was a whirlwind but we managed to travel to Mt Schweitzer in Idaho, Mt Rainier National Park, the northern Oregon coast and back to Kennewick through the Columbia River Gorge.
Thank You! I mentioned in our last update that we had some unexpected dental expenses. The expense has been paid! PTL! Thank you for partnering with us in reaching a lost world for the Lord Jesus Christ!
