Thank you so much for your love, prayers and gifts! We are deeply grateful for your part in reaching the Hewa with the love of Jesus. Thank you!

The first double-classroom school building is up! We owe a huge debt of gratitude for the many volunteers who have taken part in building this first set of classrooms for the Hewa students—from the many who prayed and generously donated finances, to those who helped purchase construction materials, to those who flew supplies into the jungle, and to those who helped in the various phases of construction. We are humbled by the team effort and in awe of how God has brought everyone together to help provide the first classrooms for the Hewa children.

Now we are purchasing more construction materials preparing to build the next double classroom in December, and also to get both buildings fitted with lights, cupboards, desks, and chalk-boards. We also need to construct a couple more tiny houses to provide living space for more teachers. We have been interviewing more potential qualified teachers so that we will be able to offer K-5th grade for the next school year, which starts in January of 2023. Please pray the Lord provides teachers who are not only qualified to teach academics, but who also have a passion to disciple children to follow Jesus.

Our lead teacher, Manu, will be getting married this December! He (pictured above in the grey shirt) has been engaged to a young woman who is also a teacher, and they plan to team-teach in the tribe starting in January. We have not met her yet, but have talked with her on the phone and she seems to be a wonderful Christian woman.

We continue pressing forward with New Testament translation, teaching and discipleship as we make monthly trips back and forth from the village. Susan is also busy with her ministries serving children at the missionary school near Goroka, and by assisting missionary mothers who are home-schooling their children in the various tribal ministries across PNG. We appreciate your prayers as we sometimes feel stretched thin and insufficient for the huge range of tasks. Thank you for your encouragement and love each step of the way.

Thank you for your love and prayers,

Jonathan, Susan & Mikenna
