“Perspective is everything when you are experiencing the challenges of life.” (Joni Erickson Tada)

“The difference between a mountain and a molehill is your perspective.” (Al Neuharth)

“We are in a wrong state of mind if we are not in a thankful state of mind.” (Charles Spurgeon)

“I must learn that the purpose of my life belongs to God, not me. God is using me from His great personal perspective, and all He asks of me is that I trust Him. When I stop telling God what I want, He can freely work His will in me without any hindrance. “(Oswald Chambers)

Dear family and friends,

Kisha and her husband arrived here in Florida in February. Kisha has been a huge blessing to our folks in the Latham Center. I have enjoyed having her on the housekeeping team. Kisha and Timo will be leaving in about a week to head back to Germany to go to Bible College and then plan to go into missionary training. I have included a photo of Kisha and Avis. Avis (one of our retirees) does laundry every Monday morning in the Latham Center.

I have now completed training one of the staff ladies from our Home Office (previously called our Mission Headquarters). Megan volunteered to come and work one morning a week doing some cleaning. I will start training Veronica on Monday. Vernonica is the daughter of home office staff and will be joining the housekeeping team as an employee. We have a couple of German ladies coming in July and August for just a few weeks. Then in late August, a young intern will be joining us full time until late spring. The Lord is supplying the need for housekeepers. Even so, please pray that the Lord will supply short-term workers or new staff members to meet the needs of our Latham Center residents. The need is critical.

My knee surgery on March 1st went well. The surgeon repaired a couple tears in the meniscus on my left knee. Due to arthritis, I still have a bit of pain and have a slight limp. I am seeing a physical therapist once a week and have been faithful to do my exercises daily in our exercise room in the Latham Center. I am using a cane when needed and that helps me not to limp, which I am trying to avoid. The goal is to strengthen the knee and leg muscles so that I can walk normally and have minimal or no pain. I am working full-time, but have some physical limitations, such as kneeling.

We had a work team of 6 folks come down from Needmore Bible Church in Needmore, PA. They did a variety of jobs while they were here last month. This included some work for the grounds crew with plants and bushes and they also worked extensively on an irrigation system. The old system had been torn out and our staff guys completed a new drainage project due to flooding in the past. With hurricane season just around the corner, it was good to have this project completed before the heavy rains start in late May. Hurricane season runs from June 1st through November 30th.

In the past month or so we have had several home goings (deaths) on our property. I will mention a few. David was on hospice, so it was not a total surprise. Joe on the other hand was unexpected. Diane had struggled with serious health issues for several years. Mike was also on hospice and recently met Jesus face-to-face. We witness the deterioration of the health of our folks. It is so hard to watch and yet, we know that it is all part of the aging process. Each one of these dear folks served the Lord faithfully for many years. They are now enjoying their eternal reward.

Please pray that Brad and I will have proper perspective in our lives. We need to see things through God’s eyes and focus on Him, as we work here at the retirement homes for missionaries.

Please pray that we will continue to recognize God’s goodness and grace in our lives.

Please pray that God will give us a measure of good health so that we can continue to serve Him.

Living by grace,

Brad and Wanda Hull
