Upsurge!
This year we are seeing an upsurge in applicants to the associate program for 2025. I requested prayer in our summer update. Thank you to all who have been praying for more applicants! Currently, we will soon have 9 new associate members for next year! The roles these new members will be fitting into are Teaching, Medical, Tech Services and Mobilization. At this point, we have the possibility of seeing 14 + support missionaries approved for service with Ethnos360 in 2025. PTL!
Encounter & Interface.
My colleague and I reviewed nearly 100 applications for the short-term Encounter trips. From the feedback received these 5 short-term summer trips went well. There are 2 short-term Encounter trips planned for this winter to South Asia. Also. We reviewed 32 applications for the 6-week college Interface summer program in Papua New Guinea. Ethnos360 Missionaries Geoff & Shannon Husa have said, “Our experience of Interface……was a decisive turning point for us and was a huge part of what led us here to serve in Papua New Guinea”.
RVA.
Ramu Valley Academy is located in the Madang Province of Papua New Guinea. The school began enrolling students from Ramu Valley churches in 2021. Ethnos360 missionaries Bill and Kelly Housley saw the need for RVA and through their efforts, the help of others and much prayer , RVA came into being. The associate program has seen a number of individuals accepted for service with Ethnos360 who have gone on to serve at RVA primarily in teaching roles. Tiffany, one of our associate members, is teaching science. Here is a photo of Tiffany with two of her students. At the time the photo was taken they were telling her how much they loved science class, their teachers at RVA, plus saying how much their faith has grown. Encouraging!
At the coast.
This month we traveled to the Long Beach, WA peninsula where Diann was raised and I also had spent many years. Ocean Park Community Church had designated October as mission month and we were invited to come and share. What a joy it was to see many dear friends and tell of what the Lord is doing through Ethnos360 and also share some gleanings from the book of Daniel.
Hailey.
Our granddaughter Hailey is enrolled at Northwest University. It is a Christian University and she is doing well in being away from home for the first time. When you have opportunity would you please pray that she would enjoy a blessed and fruitful year at NU! Thank you!
