Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt 12/01/25
We are so thankful for your continued prayers and financial support during our retirement years. At times, it really does not feel like we are retired. We are busy serving the LORD in everyday life and through our local church. We made time to take a week away during our 50th Wedding Anniversary in October.
Steve is a table leader in a men’s discipleship group, on Tuesdays. We are instructed to make disciples. It is great to see guys who are eager to learn. Sandy is in a lady’s class, also. We both were able to give our testimonies in our individual groups. Our story, for His glory! We both have been Christians for over 50 years, and God has grown our spiritual roots to stretch around the world.
We hope that on Thanksgiving Day you expressed your gratefulness for all that God is doing in your life. Remember that at least half of the world goes to bed hungry, millions have no home to go to, many people in the world cannot even afford a bicycle. Millions have never heard the gospel – the good news of salvation through faith in Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection for the payment for all our sins – past, present, and future.
At our age, we are still learning to internalize the depth of 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “In every “thing” give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” Oh, to make this a principle in our daily living. Every “thing” – every moment – every day.
We are so thankful to be “dedicated and not medicated” serving the LORD until He comes back, or takes us home. We have had six friends who have died since our last update. One was caused by untreated high blood pressure. Please, if you are having high blood pressure issues, please get medical help!
Our granddaughter, Coralee, is in college at Word of Life in Portersville, NY. She is adjusting to college life. Our grandson, Zane, is still working at Canine Design, and logging driving experience toward getting his Ohio Driver’s License. Aaron and Stephanie (our son-in-law and daughter) are both doing well.

A young boy and his family came to church last Sunday by the invitation of his sister. He came to us after the service and told us that he wanted to become a Christian. Steve was able to explain to him about childlike faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus who paid the penalty for his sin. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Are you inviting someone to come to church, or Christmas service with you? Some plant the seed. Some water the seed, but God gives the increase.
Please join us in prayer for some of our family and friends:
- Sandy’s brother Mike with recurring cancer
- Jennifer and Corrie – two of our nieces who have recurring cancer
- Marcia a second cousin; colon cancer surgery that has left her in a coma
- Two friends Dave and Tom, who are both waiting approval for cancer clinical trials
- Kevin Rideout, a friend who works in missionary aviation, like we did, but his family works in Niger, Africa; he was taken October 21st by three, armed, and masked men from his home; his remaining family is now safe in the USA; it is suspected that ISIS did this as they went into an area toward Mali, where these operatives work; pray for his safe release
May God fill you with his Love and Joy and Peace during this season and throughout the coming new year, 2026.
Listening for the trump, and praying,
Steve and Sandy Aholt
