Aholt Advances: July 2013

Greetings from Goroka,

We rejoice in the Lord that you all pray for us and support us. You are a part of the fruit that is being harvested and the lives that are being changed here in Papua New Guinea (PNG). This report is a little long, but God is doing great things that we want you to know about – for His glory!

Finally, we had a pause in the rain to be able to get the Thomas container sent off to America. The truck was not able to get into our property because everything was so wet and muddy. Due to medical reasons, the Aaron and Stephanie Thomas family were required to depart the PNG field and move back to Columbus, OH. Doing the final packing and making all of the arrangements for shipping the container has been no little task. Please pray for the safe arrival of their belongings as they travel by ship for the next several weeks and their final delivery in Columbus, OH.

Dear Praying Friends,

Thank you for your prayers and financial support!  As Jesus said, “Without me you can do nothing.”  God has you, to sustain us in our ministry here in Papua New Guinea.

We received word from the doctor today that Steve’s blood test for his possible liver damage came back normal.  Praise the Lord!  There is no liver damage. “He done done-it again!”

May 2013

Greetings from Cairns, Australia!

Friday morning we were able to see a solar eclipse.  We took a photo of it for you all.

Thank you for praying for, and financially supporting our ministry here in Papua New Guinea.  God is still at work in the lives of the people.  It has been a whirlwind of events since we returned on January 18th.

April 2013

Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt,

Thank you so much for your continued prayers and financial support.  We would not be able to minister here without your support!  We have two leads on selling the airplane.  Please pray that it would sell in God’s perfect timing.

Early one morning, Manum, our neighbor, asked Steve to take his daughter to the hospital.  She died that same morning from tuberculosis.  TB is the #1 killer here in Papua New Guinea.  Manum then asked Steve to help get the coffin, transport the body for the burial, and perform the funeral service.  Steve was able to clearly present God’s plan of salvation and the fate that awaits all who are not prepared spiritually.  Please pray that these family members and friends would accept God’s offer of salvation to all who believe.

January 2013

Greetings to you all,

Thank you for your faithful prayers.  God has given us a safe trip back to Papua New Guinea.

Thanks to each of you for your part in allowing us to labor for Christ here.  Without Him – our faithful LORD – we could do nothing.  And without you – our faith supporters – we would not be able to minister here.

December 2012

Dear Praying Friends,

Thanks to each of you for your prayers, emails and phone calls.  God is answering prayer.  We hope that the Love, Joy and Peace of Christmas will bring you to a closer walk with our LORD!

November 2012

Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt,

We are experiencing the feeling that many others are experiencing during this holiday season.  Your feelings can try to get you down.

Let’s give God the glory that He deserves.  He has made all things possible.  He alone is worthy of our thanksgiving.

Below are some verses that God has given us.  They are given to remind us of the thanksgiving that we should be giving to Him.

October 27, 2012

Dear praying friends and supporters,

We are doing well.  Sandy had an inner stitch removed, by laser, to lower her inner ocular pressure.  She goes back in two weeks to have the pressure checked again.  The doctor said that he may need to remove one more inner stitch, if the pressure is not controlled.  Please pray as Sandy remains under doctor’s care.

October 10, 2012

Sandy’s mom, Blanche Fraizer, fulfilled her wishes to be absent from the body and to be present with the LORD!  She peacefully passed from death unto life Tuesday evening at 6:17 p.m.  This was on her husband’s birthday and on Aaron and Stephanie’s 12th wedding anniversary.

October 2, 2012

Dear Praying Friends,

The autumn cool weather is such a relief from the hot and drought of summer.  Thank you LORD for the different seasons that you send into our lives!

We send our thanks to each of you for your concern, your prayers and your financial giving for our family.  We appreciate it very much during these trying times.

September 2012

Greetings from Kansas City,

  • We thank you for your prayers and continued financial support of our labor for Christ in Papua New Guinea.  Our ministry has presently changed location since August 21st.  We received word that we needed to get home fast.  Sandy’s mom has a terminal illness and had developed other health complications also.  We are presently in Kansas City, MO.
