This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.–” Jeremiah 6:16 NIV
Old highway 99 took us to Rainier, Washington this last weekend. It was an enjoyable drive which brought us through tranquil country scenery.
Pastor Mark and Rainier Chapel, thank you for blessing us with the opportunity to share regarding the NTM Connection Center ministry. What a blessing to fellowship and reconnect with dear brothers and sisters in the Lord!
The last 3 months have been extremely busy with 20 applicants being approved for associate membership with NTM. It will be the largest group in years attending the pre-field orientation in Sanford, FL. These new Associate missionaries will be serving in Papua New Guinea, Mexico and Brazil. Additionally, the Connection Center team has been diligently working at processing applications for career membership with over 60 individuals being approved for the 2 year training program at the NTM Missionary Training Center in Missouri. Plus, processing has been completed for volunteers serving overseas and for the Interface program. The students in the Interface Program will soon be traveling to Papua New Guinea for the 6 week college level mission course. As of this date in 2016 there have been 121 applications approved for the various NTM programs.
Thank you for your partnering with us in reaching the unreached! Reading testimonies such as from Taitus in the Tangguat church of Papua New Guinea is greatly encouraging! Taitus said, “We always thought that we could help ourselves and that we could stand on our good works and the law so that we would be good in God’s eyes. … Before I thought that because I was one that was religious, that I was a good man. But now I have heard this story and I know that there is only one road and God knows all of our hidden thoughts. Now God’s Son has shown us the road and we must believe in Him. There is no other road! He came down to this ground and His blood was shed for our sins and He made one way, one door, for us to go through and it is that we must trust in Him.”
