If you prayed with us for ten new full-time students, THANK YOU! God answered! If I counted right, we now have 28 students fulltime on campus, including TEN new freshmen and two returning after a hiatus! We’re excited to start our new semester on Labor Day!
I will not be teaching any classes other than music. So far, we only have 2 Voice students, and a few other students talking about music lessons who have not yet signed up. I’ve been working hard lining up speakers for the Christian Service Assignment first-semester freshmen class and am eager to meet people from ministries and secular organizations with whom we can volunteer and partner (at least on some level!). This isn’t really a class in the sense that no actual teaching takes place, but it is an chance for new students to learn about what opportunities for service are available in the local community.
On September 13th we are planning an alumni event in New Mexico for alumni living in that area. So far, we have only a couple of RSVPs, so we’d appreciate your prayers that there would be a good response and that the alumni would be encouraged and challenged to continue serving Jesus.
Thank you for praying for the administrative team retreat and staff retreats. Both went well and were good times of bonding and refocusing for the new semester ahead.
Please pray for the IBC students to walk in wisdom, to start strong, and to continue faithfully.
