Thank you so much for your love and prayers and gifts! We are deeply grateful for your part in reaching the Hewa people with the love of Jesus. Thank you!

We are now in California! It was wonderful to visit with the Kopf family in Idaho in honor of my parent’s 50th anniversary, and are now grateful to be in Fullerton where we can spend time with Mikayla during her last semester at BIOLA University. I (Jonathan) am also happy to have the opportunity to participate in an online class this month.

We are thankful to the Lord for safety while making our 4200 mile circuit up through the Northwest and would now appreciate your prayers for continued safety as we are planning a trip through New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma to visit with Micah and other friends and groups. We are very happy we will be able to attend Micah’s graduation from the Army Combat Medic training program. We are happy for him as he is looking forward to entering his next phase which will be Army Airborne training in Georgia.

We received news from PNG that our co-worker, John George, is making excellent progress in Hewa culture and language studies. A consultant spent time evaluating his ability and indicated he may be at ministry level fluency by the end of the year, PTL!

We also heard that the evangelistic outreach to the Hewa village of Yano is going well. The husband and wife team (Kifeson and Emiyas) along with the two young men (Upe and Alison) are nearing the end of their class where they have been teaching the villagers how to read and write, so will soon be ready to start teaching a Creation through Christ overview of the Bible. Please keep this team in prayer and ask the Lord to work miracles in the hearts of the Yano people so they will trust Jesus for salvation and a relationship with Him.

Praise and Prayer

  • Please pray for Mikayla as she continues to struggle with ongoing back pain while in college. Pray the Lord shows us how to help her while we are here in the USA.
  • Please pray for our co-workers, John & Jessi George, as they continue learning the Hewa language and culture. They hope to be fluent enough to join us in teaching & translation when we return to Hewa next year.
  • Please pray for continued safety as we travel many miles to try to meet with family and friends.
  • Pray the Lord will raise up many more workers for the harvest field.

Thank you for your love and prayers! We deeply appreciate your part in reaching out to the Hewa tribal people with the Love of Jesus. Thank you!

Jonathan, Susan & Mikenna
