Dear Praying Friends,
The autumn cool weather is such a relief from the hot and drought of summer. Thank you LORD for the different seasons that you send into our lives!
We send our thanks to each of you for your concern, your prayers and your financial giving for our family. We appreciate it very much during these trying times.
The doctor said that Sandy’s eye surgery went well yesterday. We go today for her post op check. She will be wearing a patch on her left eye at night for the next week. Praise the LORD that she is not experiencing the pain that she did when she had the trabeculectomy done on her right eye back in December. Thank you for your prayers for her complete healing.
Sandy’s mom continues to fail a little more each day from her terminal illness. She still shows us her beautiful smile through all the pain. Her symptoms show that she is in her last days of life here on this earth. It will continue to get worse for her here – before it gets better for her there. Heaven is her home and she longs to be there with Jesus! Thank you for your continued prayers for the family.
Marty is going through his initial therapy sessions. He said yesterday about Emily his therapist, “That tiny little thing can bring tears to my eyes.” Her reply was, “In this situation, no pain, no gain!” Thank you for your prayers for his left rotor cuff to heal completely.
Our niece had a full body scan Saturday to see if the cancer has spread to any other areas of her body. This Friday she will have a biopsy on some enlarged lymph nodes. Thanks for your prayers for our extended family during this trial.
Steve goes to the doctor on Friday to check some pre-cancer places on his skin. We know that God has us here in the USA for more than one purpose.
Our main purpose in life is to glorify God. Our family is our primary ministry. In this process, the LORD brings other people along our path. As the song writer said:
Every day they pass me by.
I can see it in their eyes.
Empty people filled with care
Headed who knows where.
On they go through private pain
Living fear to fear.
Laughter hides their silent cries
Only Jesus hears.
People need the Lord!
People need the Lord!
At the end of broken dreams
He’s the open door
People need the Lord!
People need the Lord!
When will they realize –
People need the Lord!
We are called to take His light
To a world where wrong seems right.
What could be too great a cost
For sharing life with one who’s lost.
Through His love our hearts can feel
All the grief they bear.
They must hear the words of life
Only we can share!
People need the Lord!
People need the Lord!
At the end of broken dreams
He’s the open door!
People need the Lord!
People need the Lord!
When will “we” realize
That we must give our lives
For people need the Lord!
People need the Lord!
Listening for the trump and praying,
Steve and Sandy Aholt
