Thank you so much for your love and prayers and gifts! We are deeply grateful for your part in reaching the Hewa people with the love of Jesus. Thank you!

We just finished a one-week men’s leadership training “conference” here in Hewa, led by Matthew and Bapo from the Kudjip Hospital. This is the third time Matthew has come to teach our Hewa community, and each time he has brought life-changing information in both medical and community developmental areas. In these remote mountains where tribal fighting and un-restrained tyrants have stomped out potential advancement in the past, there is now hope for the future as men are making decisions to follow Jesus’ principles of love and join hands to make a better community. We are very encouraged by the eagerness with which our community leaders are embracing these principles as they are making plans to make a better future for their children.

We are pleased to report that the Hewa medical clinic is now finished and fully stocked! We are very grateful for the financial gift that made this building possible and for the volunteers that came to help with construction, and for the medicines the PNG government has been donating for our village. Yanis and the other medical volunteers are very happy to have a clean and rat-free building and are already using it to treat various illnesses. We are praising the Lord for the completion of this significant community development project.

John and Jessi George had to make an unexpected departure from Hewa to help John’s mother recover from a serious illness she contracted while visiting the George family here in the tribe. She had to be evacuated from PNG to Australia and was then accompanied by John and family back to the States. We are very grateful that she has recovered but are sorry the Georges will be away from the tribe for the next six months as they take an early furlough.

Thank you for your love and prayers and gifts! We deeply appreciate you!
