Dear friends and family,

We are having an amazing fall season! The weather and colors have been superb, unlike the usual drab gray, clouds, fog and rain in Central Europe. Also, God has continued to answer your prayers on our behalf as we have had many opportunities to pour into the lives of others through discipleship, church meetings, retreats, etc.

Thanks so much for praying for Tamra Misak , from First Baptist Church in Weatherford, (FBCW), as she has been serving the communities and churches in and around Revuca, Slovakia for the last few months and only has a week and a half left! She has made many inroads into the lives of those in the church and community. It has been such a blessing for Elise to walk alongside her (mainly virtually!) and see her fall in love with the people here in Slovakia, the churches, and God’s call on our lives to fulfill the Great Commission.

We had a wonderful retreat with our church plant, Connect, last weekend. It was a great time of fellowship through recreation, God’s Word, prayer, and meals together in the beautiful setting of the Small Carpathian mountains.
Here are our prayer requests:
- Please pray for those on the fringes of our church plant in Bratislava, Connect, to commit to being active members of His church and that our church would be faithful to reach out to others in the community. Continue to pray for God to build His church.
- Ask that the church plant in Revuca would commit to being an active church body on a weekly basis and that there would be clear direction in church leadership. Pray that many would commit to taking on weekly participatory roles of the church.
- Pray for the Bratislava Faith Community church as they are in a time of transition with a new interim pastor, Andrew Hayes, who is an IMB worker and has taken on this position for the next year. Pray for God to give Andrew, his wife, Kristen, and their sons, Henry and Oliver, great wisdom, strength, and endurance as they have taken on this role in addition to their other responsibilities. They are developing new leadership structures as well as meeting the many pastoral needs of the church. Ask that God would bless the church retreat next weekend, November 15-17.
- Remember my dear friend, M., with whom Elise has known for almost 10 years here in Bratislava. She will be attending church with me today. Ask that she would commit to following Jesus on a daily basis and love Him with all of her heart, mind, soul and strength. Ask that God would give Elise continued wisdom to know how to broach various topics that are impeding her walk with Christ.
- Our pastor, Earl Stephenson, is retiring after 23 years as our pastor at the end of the year. Our pastor search committee has been convening since February and have selected a man and his family to come in view of a call. He will be preaching and our church will vote on whether he will be our new pastor. Ask that God would have His way in the life if His church body today.
As always, thanks so much for walking with us on this journey of missions. We value your investment in us through your love and prayers.
Trey and Elise
