Dear family and friends,

Birthdays! Around here, they are celebrated in style. At least that is the case when a resident turns 100 years old! Last week there was a BIG party (complete with meal, cake and a program). All 3 of her sons and daughters-in-law were in attendance. There were also many grandchildren and great grandchildren who arrived to attend the special event.
Bonnie and her husband Frank were living in Lock Haven, PA when two fellows with Bibles came to their door. The men were missionary candidates from the Missions Institute in Jersey Shore, PA. These fellows were going door to door sharing the gospel message. Two weeks later they returned to find that Frank had started reading his Bible and was now saved. About 3 months later Bonnie got saved after seeing the change in her husband.
They completed the missionary training with New Tribes Mission and went to the mission headquarters in Woodworth, Wisconsin. They worked in the publications department printing Bibles and mission literature. They moved to Sanford, Florida in the 70’s after the mission moved into the “new” headquarters building where they continued to work in the publications department. Frank passed away in 2003. Bonnie has been a resident in our Latham Center for several years. Bonnie’s youngest son comes each week and takes his mom out to lunch at one of the local restaurants. Bonnie enjoys watching TV in her room and playing games with other residents in the Assisted Living Facility lobby area. She also attends our chapel services on Tuesday and Friday mornings. There are believers and established churches in a tribe in Papua New Guinea because of one of Bonnie and Frank’s sons. Also, one of their grandsons played a big part in teaching the gospel and translating the New Testament in another language group in PNG. Other grandchildren are presently serving with Ethnos360 in various places in the USA and around the world. What a legacy! To God be the Glory!
I, Wanda, have an appointment for a total knee replacement on February 5th. Because of my pain level, I have been walking with a cane for the past 3 months and more recently riding on a motorized scooter while continuing to work in the Latham Center. I have several appointments before the 5th and will be receiving specific information about the surgery as well as what to expect after surgery. I will have in-home physical therapy for two weeks and then more therapy in the local area to get full use of my new knee. I am presently trying to get all my bases covered at work while I am out. We have our Royal Volunteers from up north who will be helping to meet the needs. I have also been diagnosed with wet AMD (age-related macular degeneration). These seem to be signs of getting older.
Please pray:
- Wanda: A successful surgery on February 5th. Quick and complete healing after the surgery.
- Brad: Has a lot of work – particularly that week of the month. Plans to juggle time at the office and home as needed.
Thankful for God’s grace,
Brad & Wanda Hull
