Dear family and friends,
Wow! Time flies when you’re having fun and all four of us have been having fun on our road trip to and from Arizona!! It has truly been AWESOME to have our both of our college age sons with us over the last month. We have enjoyed visiting some amazing sights such as the Montezuma Castle National Monument, Sunset Crater Volcano National Park, the Painted Desert and the Grand Canyon as well as some amazing family members in both Arizona and Texas!
We have just over a month before we transition to the country of Slovakia. We are looking forward to this new adventure and chapter in our lives as we go over as empty nesters! We have absolutely LOVED our time at OBU (Ouachita Baptist University) working in the International Studies Department and Campus Ministries. It has been a
wonderful experience and our lives are much richer through the many opportunities and people we have met there. We are so impressed with the caliber of students we met there and the student body gives us great hope for the future of America.
Here are our prayer requests for the next month before we head back to Europe:
- Ask for God’s protection and wisdom for Ryan as he goes on a great adventure for 6 weeks to Thailand, Cambodia and Laos with two of his high school buddies from Zagreb.
- Ask that Bret would be able to secure a job on campus this summer while he attends summer school and helps with Basketball camps in Weatherford, OK.
- Pray that Trey and Elise would receive medical clearance before our scheduled departure date of July 1st.
- Ask for clear wisdom and discernment for Trey and others as to the necessary documents and steps required to secure visas for Slovakia prior to the Atkins’ departure.
- Pray that Trey and Elise would use their time wisely in the month of June so that they can leave the United States with ‘every i dotted and every t crossed!’
