Greetings all,
I am sorry we have not been able to update you regularly during this trip. The past few weeks have seen us in the interior regions where communication has been more limited. We want to let you know that we had a WONDERFUL time with the Wana people and are thankful to the Lord for a very profitable trip. The Wana were super excited to have Geoff visit them again – I think most of his nights went beyond midnight as he spent time with his Wana family. During this trip, we were able to have some concentrated time with our Wana pastors as we looked into God’s Word and also discussed the future of the Wana church. This included discussions regarding our youth programs, teaching program, future leadership, outreach, and other topics. We also enjoyed a 4-day Bible conference in the village of Watusongu which is one of our newer outreaches. There are a number of believers there now and they were excited to be able to host their first church wide Bible conference. We studied from Joshua 7 this time and lots and lots of very good applications and teaching came out of this as we compared this Chapter to our own lives, and how sin affects not only the person committing the sin, but affects the whole body.
We left the village of Watusongu after church on Sunday morning and endured the long ride back to the provincial capital that afternoon and evening arriving back to town around 10 p.m. The road is nothing but a lot of twists, turns, bumps, along with some steep mountain roads. I found myself with motion sickness for most of the way even though I had a front seat. We had two days to wrap things up in the provincial capital and then yesterday, flew down to the Capital city of this country. Our plans are to depart this afternoon for the USA. We will be leaving at 6:30 p.m. this time (6:30 a.m. Central USA time Thursday morning), and if things go as scheduled will arrive Grand Island Nebraska at 2:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon. We will appreciate your prayers for these coming hours and that our connections will be good.
Below a few pictures of our conference. I haven’t had time to go through all our photos so will do so once back to the USA and try and get some more images sent at that time. God bless each of you and thanks so much for being a part of our team.

The road trip inland to the Wana village of Wo’o nTowu – We had to go overland as our pilot was out of country.

Geoff and his friends road this very rough road on top of all the loading in the truck – it was very hard for them to hang on. Thankfully I had the front seat.

Crossing one of the rivers on a raft.

Geoff and I with “Pa nTein” a believer in outreach of Watusongu. Please pray for his wife who has not yet put her trust in the Lord

This and the images below show our break away groups as we studied together with them Joshua 7 and discovered much application for our own lives.

Update:
Greetings all,
Just a quick note to let you know that Geoff and I landed safely yesterday afternoon. It was a very long trip with the time in the air from Doha to Dallas being 15.5 hours, and the overall trip taking over 30 hours. We can’t complain though as our pilot just recently made the trip and he was 17 hours the air from the USA to Singapore! It is amazing they can carry enough fuel to stay in the air for that long. We were thankful for good connections the whole way, and enjoyed keeping our wives and Wana family up to date as we traveled along. It was super to see our wives and give them a big hug as they met us at our little airport here in Grand Island, Nebraska. I had a big mishap today as I accidentally deleted all my photos I took on this trip – tried unsuccessfully to get them back but so far no success. Thankfully Geoff was taking pictures too so will have his to work off of. In the meantime I will try some other programs to see if I can retrieve them. All four of us want to thank you so much for your prayers for us while we were gone. The trip was a huge blessing and we have been encouraged as we have had lots of postivie feed back from the Wana people. We are so glad that God invited us to be a part of what He has been doing in their hearts and lives. God bless each of you.

Ed, Jeanne, Geoff, and Tina
