Dear friends,
Normally I lead with school needs and occasionally end with a personal request, but tonight I need to get straight to the need for prayer for our daughter Abby: Please pray for a successful surgery to install a stent and quick recovery. So many of you have prayed with us for so long; thank you for continuing to do so in what we hope will be the end of this season.
Tonight I had my freshman Christian Family class over for dinner and their final (picture above). It was difficult to do without Sarah, but our younger three kids were a great help. Would you pray for these students? They have such potential for ministry (and their own future families) but the enemy is out to keep them oppressed and defeated. Fun fact: the couple on the far left are Christina, a 2017 graduate who married Luke in 2021–then joined the staff. Christina was my teaching assistant for the class (helping with the online hybrid students from Phoenix and South Dakota) and her husband Luke took the class for credit.
This weekend is Celebration Weekend, with lots of events culminating in Commencement on Saturday at 2:00PM MST. I am really looking forward to the four bachelors graduates’ commencement speeches. It has been a hard semester, particularly because of three students who had to leave–two of these in the last month…we’re all still hurting over that. Would you pray for a wonderful time of celebration? We really want to fully celebrate the 14-16 graduates that will receive a certificate or diploma on Saturday.
