Dear family and friends,

Hello to you once again from sunny Florida!

Life here is not all work and no play. In fact, just a few days ago we had a special event called “The Country Fair”. Since this is my first year as a full time staff member at NTM Homes, this is my first time to attend and participate in the festivities. I volunteered to serve on the planning committee for “The Country Fair”. It is quite the event and takes a lot of planning and preparation behind the scenes. My teammates did a fantastic job! Things ran quite smoothly this past Friday. Our NTM missionary retirees, retired volunteers from up north, and staff members all had a great time participating in the games and other events. This included horseshoes, Hillbilly Golf (Top-Toss), shuffleboard, obstacle course race in a golf cart while blindfolded, Wii Bowling, darts, and pool. The photo below is of me playing Hillbilly Golf. Smile I made it to the playoffs!

There were quite a number of displays set up around the perimeter of our chapel as well as in the foyer area. Folks displayed their treasures from Bolivia, PNG, Paraguay, or other fields of service. There was also a doll collection, homemade wooden bowls and other items, a collection of tea pots, and homemade quilts among other things. Brad helped me with a guessing game project. I asked our staff members here to submit a baby or school age photo of themselves. Brad scanned, numbered, and then printed them off for me. We supplied a list of participating staff members. Folks took guesses as to which photo matched which name. Our day ended with a chili and chocolate dessert cooking contest (including a pot luck meal with a variety of foods) and a talent show. The first, second, and third place winners for all events will be announced during our Tuesday morning chapel this week. It was a great day of fun for everyone.

This week, it is back to work as usual. Besides cleaning rooms for those living in the Assisted Living Facility, I have plans to clean the carpet in our chapel. It has been two years since we began meeting in our new chapel, and it is long past time to clean the carpets. There is always something to do around here. I am so glad that I am part of a team to keep our facilities clean, shining and in tip top condition. Come for a visit, and I will be more than happy to give you a tour of all that God has blessed us with.

Brad is now on a new medicine. He checked out different pharmacies to find a place where he could find the medication for the cheapest price. He saved $90 on his refill. Brad is on a committee that was formed to build a website for NTM Homes. He has been taking a ton of photos of people and activities around our property here. He continues to take care of the finances and oversee a variety of accounts. He finds plenty to keep himself busy.

  • We thank the Lord for bringing us here to serve Him as we serve others.
  • We have good doctors who help diagnose and treat our misc. medical issues.
  • We thank the Lord for folks who stand behind us through prayers and gifts.

  • We need God’s wisdom to know how best to use the gifts and energy He gives us.
  • We each need to see the details without losing sight of the big picture on a daily basis.
  • Pray that Brad’s medication will help him feel better with few or no side effects.

By His grace,

Wanda (and Brad) Hull
