Let us thank God heartily as often as we pray that we have His Spirit in us to teach us to pray. Thanksgiving will draw our hearts out to God and keep us engaged with him; it will take our attention from ourselves and give the Spirit room in our hearts. (Andrew Murray 1828-1917)
Dear family and friends,

I would like you to meet Barb. She is one of the residents in our Latham Center. Barb has been part of New Tribes Mission almost her whole life. She was just 10 years old when her parents came into the mission. They first lived in Fout Springs, Caiformia at the missionary training center where Barb’s dad was a carpenter. Barb began her own missionary career working at the mission headquarters in Woodworth, Wisconsin. In 1978 she moved to Sanford when the mission moved from Wisconsin to Florida. Barb continued working in the finance office until her retirement in 2003. A number of years later Barb decided it was time to move into the Latham Center from her duplex apartment on the NTM Homes property. Barb enjoys playing table games with other Latham Center residents. Even though she uses a rollator / walker, she participates in chair exercises mid-morning with some of her Latham Center neighbors. We often see her going for walks in the hallways and in the chapel. This is pretty good for someone who is 90 years old!
Recently Courtlyn, a summer intern joined my team and will be working each weekday morning. She plans to leave mid- August to attend our mission’s Bible Institute in Wisconsin. Also, the wife of a home office staff decided to come and help with laundry and cleaning. Linda will be working 3 mornings a week. One of our most recent retirees will be helping with laundry one morning a week. This is fantastic news! I am in the midst of training these new folks, but they have already been a blessing to me and our Latham Center folks. God knows the need and is supplying in a marvelous way.
The last week of this month there is a work team coming from North Dakota to help here at The Homes. Our director for facility maintenance is making plans for what the teens and the adults, who will be joining them, will be doing. The guys will be re-painting lines on the concrete near the Latham Center. This includes handicapped parking spots, fire lane signage, and one-way arrows. It has been just over 10 years since our chapel was built, and the weather and vehicle traffic have worn down the markings. I will have 5 young ladies helping out inside the Latham Center in the afternoons due to the heat and afternoon rainstorms.

I, Wanda, am in the process of getting cleared for a knee replacement on my right knee. I don’t have a surgery date yet due to the need for clearance from the cardiologist and my primary physician. Please pray for all the necessary clearances and His perfect timing for the surgery.
Brad is dealing with some sleep issues. Dropping the temperature in our duplex at night has helped some. Please pray that he can consistently get at least 6 hours of sleep each night.
Please pray that the words of our mouths, and the meditations of our hearts will be acceptable in the sight of the LORD, who is our strength and our Redeemer. (Ps. 19:14)
Amazed by His grace,
Brad & Wanda Hull
