Greetings All!

We are continually grateful to be able to be involved in what the Lord is doing out in Asia Pacific and particularly with the Wana Tribal people. Geoff and I had a very profitable trip in April/May and it has been great to be able to follow up on some of the things we discussed with the church leadership and plans that we have made.

Outreach has been one of those priority jobs and it has been neat to see the many people that are coming to Christ. Of course we know that Satan has not been blind to this so we appreciate your prayers for all of our outreach teams. The outreach team reaching the village of “Ue mPili” has been working on building a canoe to make travel easier for them them. This village is only accessible by hiking or canoe and up till now the team has been dependent upon other canoe operators and their schedules. Thus, they felt the need to build their own canoe so they can get in and out easier and on their own schedule. As we talk about the canoe, I just heard this morning that our new helicopter is supposed to be shipped either today or tomorrow. This will also be a tremendous help to our outreaches, so appreciate your prayers that the helicopter will arrive quickly and safely and can be put into operation in a timely manner. Here I am including a few pictures of the canoe construction. Just want to mention that none of these fellows or those involved in the outreach teaching are receiving any wage for what they are doing – they say their wage is the reward of seeing folks come to know the Lord and knowing they will spend eternity together with them.

The tree that was felled using a chain saw

Then again with a chain saw they cut it in half and then begin the hollowing out process

Besides a chain saw, an ax, machete, and these hand tools are used to hollow the log out.

It is amazing how accurate they are with their ax cuts – they can actually hit where they want to hit!!!

Getting very close to being finished. Funds have been provided for a motor so they will be checking this week on where they can get the best deal.

In the mean-time, evangelist Riben, sitting on the river bank this past weekend waiting for a canoe to come and pick him and take him to Ue mPili. He and the rest of the outreach team appreciate Your prayers.
