THE WORD CONTINUES TO GO OUT
Some of you may have seen the man above who was heading to the small town of Aitape in the northern part of Papua New Guinea. He was going to teach a group of people through the Creation to Christ lessons.
Later, I found out there were actually seven teachers participating including three men who were training to become future teachers. They were all volunteers with a desire to share the Gospel. After completing the course this photo was taken:
The books they are holding were part of the Bible Teaching curriculum we translated through our time in Papua New Guinea. Seeing pictures like this one makes me give praise to God for what he is doing in the hearts of the students.
Shortly after this course, we heard that Josie a faithful sister in Christ suffered a fatal heart attack as she was preparing to give a report about what God was doing through her and her husband Jonnie.
They came to Christ by hearing the course years ago and both of them blossomed into wonderful servants, planting churches in two locations. We were honored to have known this Godly woman and see her in action. When she read or heard something new that touched her life, it wouldn’t be long before she was teaching it to the women who gathered around her. Thank God for Josie! Pray for Jonnie and the family as they face her loss.
