Do you like change? Have you “grown” a size this year? Do you have a new job or house? Are you ready for a new decade?
I went from teaching Spanish to grades K-8 in a Christian school, to subbing part-time in pre-school in a worldly environment. My work on the Tarahumara-Spanish Bible lessons is stalled because of computer program upgrades that don’t mesh. And exchanging sciatica pain for neuropathy in my feet even 6 months after surgery, well, it’s hard to call it an improvement.
But thank God for the Babe in the manger, who became a Man, whose sacrificial death on the cross changes us from being God’s enemies into His children. Jesus is always with us, Emmanuel. Always protecting, providing, empowering us, giving us His abundant life. May He continually be our focus throughout the coming year! God bless you as you walk with Him.
