Dear Friends,
Thanks so much for your faithful prayers and support for me. It’s amazing how time is flying by and the New Year has kind of caught me by surprise! December flashed by, with lots of family time and special get-togethers.
Now we’re into January, with blizzards and tons of snow one minute, and then sleet and rain the next minute! What’s up with this crazy weather!?! The only perk is all the exercise I get from shoveling snow and chipping away at the ice!
This week will be interesting, as I fly down to the NTM headquarters in Florida for a seminar. I’m looking forward to seeing what the Lord has to teach me as I attend the workshop called, “Sharpening Your Interpersonal Skills.” It will be fun to see some friends who work there in Florida and to spend the weekend with very dear friends who I went to Bible School with many years ago. I am so thankful the Lord has given me this opportunity.
News from PNG is very encouraging, as we have seen the Mengen church branch out into several new locations, taking God’s Word to people who have never heard! I’m sure it has been a challenging and stretching time for them as they have gotten started in the ‘Creation to Christ’ Bible teaching. They still have a number of months to go, so I know these guys would appreciate your prayers. Pray too for their wives and families as they have moved to these new villages and are settling into a whole new location.
Lord willing, I’ll be returning to PNG in April. I am anxious to return to my ministry of Bible translation and to see all my Mengen friends again. Please pray that the Lord would go before me and give me peace as it will be another transition to leave my home country and return to my place of ministry.
Thanks so much for standing with me. I appreciate you all so much.
Love in Christ,
Becky
