Dear Friends,

Thanks so much for your faithful prayers and support. The past few weeks have been busy and I kind of feel like one of those downhill skiers in the Olympics, zipping quickly down the mountain. Time is flying by so quickly and in just a few weeks, I’ll be heading back to PNG!

In January I attended a seminar in Florida, held at the New Tribes headquarters. It was so fun to meet a lot of new people involved in many different forms of ministry. Out of 20 participants, 8 different mission organizations were represented, with missionaries from all over the world. The classes were uplifting and helpful, and I came away from them very encouraged.

After the last session, I met up with dear friends from Bible School days there in Florida. It was so special to be able to spend the weekend with them. Another friend Kelli and her kids were also able to come up for a few days, so it was a joyful reunion for all of us.

Since arriving home a couple of weeks ago, I was able to share in one of the local churches in our area. It was encouraging to see some “old” friends again and to see their interest in my ministry. I sure appreciate everyone who prays for the Mengen church and has walked this journey with me.

News from PNG has been encouraging as we have see our first Mengen missionaries begin to teach in 2 new locations. Please pray that the Lord would strengthen these Bible teachers and their families. I know from personal experience about how completely draining it can be when you teach unbelievers for the very first time. Pray too for the people attending these lessons, that they would come faithfully and would hunger to know the truth of God’s Word.

This coming week, Keri will be returning to PNG. Please pray for her during the difficult goodbyes. It’s so difficult having to leave friends and family behind, knowing that it will be years before you see them again. My turn will be coming up in April, as I fly out of Edmonton and straight through to PNG in one shot. I know that both Keri and I will be exhausted, so pray that our transitions back into the ministry will go well.

Keri and I will both be back into Bible translation, pressing on to see the completion of the New Testament. Thankfully we have finished nearly 50%, so Lord willing the next few projects will go quickly and we can continue on with the work that the Lord has laid out for us.

Thanks so very much for your prayers! I appreciate you all so much.

Pressing on,

Becky Preheim
