This has been a year of much travel for us, but we are so thankful for the opportunity to see loved ones far away, but let me tell you, we are HAPPY to be home with no trips planned for this fall!
Our time in Germany was so good to be with Paul’s parents, family and friends. It had been 8 years since we saw many of them… WAY too long! Here’s a pic of Paul, his siblings and parents. While on a family vacation week, a head cold with body aches was passed around and now Paul’s mom has it. Will you please pray for her?
Jet lag is real. Jesse handles it the best… she is young enough to just sleep for 12 hours, wake up, get up and go. We older ones can’t do that. Ha! If I stayed still for 12 hours my joints would freeze in place I am thinking! Last night I was falling asleep at 8pm…but Jesse kept saying “MOM!” and kept me “awake” until at 9, I gave in and went to bed.
Paul is back at the hanger today. Knowing Paul, he will try to do today what he didn’t get done in the past 3 weeks while gone. No matter how much anyone tells him that it is not possible, he will still try. Would you pray for him to be able to juggle all his jobs efficiently and wisely. Drop him a text reminding him to breathe too!
Jesse is back at school. We are so thankful for teachers that work with her so she is already caught up and ready to start right where she should be in classes.
I am catching up on all the mail, bills, putting stuff away and jumping back into the fast pace of life here. I have upcoming events/commitments with Faith Christian Academy that are pretty big and take quite a bit of work. Please, if you think of it, pray for our Partner Dinner coming up next month. This is where we put out a challenge to partner with FCA financially for 1 year. FCA is a ministry of reaching the youth and their families for Christ through solid academics. We have 49 students this year that we are impacting each and every day. Want to join our 1-year Financial Partners this year? Just email me back and I’ll get that worked out!
