Thank you so much for your love, prayers, and gifts!  We are deeply grateful for your part in helping to share the love of Jesus with the Hewa tribal people of Papua New Guinea. We have lots of great news!

Three men recently arrived to help build Jag & Abby’s new house here in the village! Construction progress is going great and the Dunns can’t wait to move into their new home. Many of their supplies will not arrive until the end of June but they plan to move into their home and live with only the bare necessities until that time. Pray for their health and safety over these next months as they plan to start learning the Hewa language and culture.

The tractor has arrived and airstrip grading has begun! We are praising the Lord for how He provided enough money to fly the tractor to our village via helicopter. We are also praising the Lord for how the Hewa men, women and even children have rallied together to clear the remaining stumps and large roots and rocks. Please pray for safety and good progress over the next several months as we work together to level the ground.

Fato and Faimpat have been doing a terrific job teaching 30 Hewa people how to read and write for the first time. We are very proud of these men and their desire to serve the Lord in this way. They are teaching

the daily classes in preparation to kick off a new four month long Creation through Christ teaching series for the benefit of the many people who have not yet had the chance to hear the Gospel message. Please pray for Fato and Faimpat and for the others who are supporting them in this huge endeavor. Please pray many Hewa people will turn their hearts to the Lord through the faithful efforts of these believers.

We are coming home! We were able to purchase airline tickets and our plan is to arrive in Phoenix in early July for a six month home assignment. We plan to live in Arizona for most of that time but are also planning a trip to the Northwest in November. We can’t wait to be reunited with Micah and Mikayla and the rest of our friends and family.

Thank you so much for praying with us for our urgent need to build an airplane runway in the jungle. Praise the Lord with us for the donation of a tractor and then for the sacrificial gifts of people and church groups who made it possible to fly it here. We feel so grateful for your love, and are deeply humbled by your gifts. In March when it became apparent our mission’s helicopter would no longer be able to help us due to the shortage of pilots, we called out to the Lord and He is answering our prayers through you. Thank you so much!

Please continue to pray for the construction of the new airstrip. Pray our little 4X4 tractor can hang in there for this task that would normally require a bulldozer. Pray for safety as the entire village is working along side us. Pray also for the funds needed to build a tractor/fuel shed and a fence around the perimeter and also for the funds needed for a mower attachment to cut the future grass. Most importantly, please pray that the Hewa people will not be distracted from their desire to hear the Word by the frenzied hubbub of the airstrip project. We want their hearts to be in awe of the Lord and His power, and not enamored with machines and the future arrival of the airplane. Pray for a growing desire for a deep relationship with their Creator.

Thank you so much for partnering with us in the effort to share the love of Jesus with the Hewa tribal people. THANK YOU!
