Dear Friends, Family, and Ministry Team Members,

It seems like the years go by more quickly these days. Maybe it has something to do with our ages.
Health-wise, it has been better than the few years before. Now, we are moving into the “falling apart” period of our lives. 😊
Last month, we attended three memorial services for a friend, an aunt, and a colleague. They had all lived full lives invested in serving Christ. I’m sure we all want to live faithful lives.
Jim completed the translation of the second volume of Bible lessons in the Prophets. We thought it might be the last project for us, but we received a request to translate the introductions and summaries of each book in the Old Testament. (sample below)
Pidgin English:
A. Bipo Tru God i mekim kamap olgeta samting na manmeri i mekim sin 1:1-11:9
- God i mekim kamap olgeta samting 1:1-2:3
- God i mekim kamap man na meri 2:4-25
- Tupela i mekim sin 3:1-5:32
- God i kotim sin bilong tupela 6:1-11:19
As we both approach our 79th birthdays early in the New Year, we are thankful to be able to translate lessons to strengthen believers in Papua New Guinea. If God permits, we’d also like to translate some Bible lessons of the Gospels for them.
The church we attend offers an in-depth ten-month course called “Re-Generation,” which teaches anyone struggling with addictions how to Biblically follow steps to overcome them and deepen their walk with Christ. Jim took the course this year and is praying about serving on the teaching staff next year. Pray for wisdom.
Thank you for all your love, prayers, and financial help through another year. God bless you.
Love in Christ,
Jim and Kathy Tanner
