Christmas Greetings!
For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us;
And the government will rest on His shoulders;
And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6–NASB
In September and October we traveled from Florida to the northwest and back. We were thankful for the opportunity to visit with family and ministry partners. Our only regret was not being able to visit with all of our dear friends due to time constraints. After putting many thousands of miles on the Buick we returned to Sanford on October 18th. Prayers that were raised on our behalf during the trip out west were much appreciated!
The Connection Center held the fall pre-field orientation from November 3rd to the 8th. It was a joy getting to know the new NTM associate members. Lord willing they will soon be serving stateside and in the Asia Pacific region.
Recently we moved out of the main NTM building and across the street into a two bedroom apartment. It is not a large accommodation, but it is adequate, comfortable and at ground level. Diann’s knee is doing much better as she now doesn’t have to go up and down any stairs in order to enter our place of residence.
Space X launched another rocket from Cape Canaveral yesterday. It was carrying a commercial communications satellite for a company in Europe, which will provide services for the Asia-Pacific market. The blaze of the rocket exhaust with its trailing orange and white plume was clearly visible in the fading light of the eastern sky. Awesome!
Chapter 2 in the book of Matthew tells about a light in the eastern sky. A star was seen by the wise men and they followed it a great distance to the little town of Bethlehem. When the star ceased its movement, indicating the place where Jesus was, the wise men experienced a joy that knew no bounds. This was where they would find Jesus the blessed hope!
As we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ let us give Him the praise that He so richly deserves! He is the Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Eternal Father and the Prince of Peace! May He bless you with a touch of His wondrous joy even now and into the New Year!
Together with you for Him,
Dave & Diann Yunker
