I’ve been thinking how good God has been to me to provide for all my needs, including good counsel as I age and face a new season of life. I see others who have not had the same benefit I have had of “many advisors” who have provided safety in the midst of uncertainty (Proverbs 15:22) and I am reminded of how blessed I am. And in terms of my material needs, from home repairs and maintenance to a reliable vehicle, God has taken such good care of me over the years!
I am still growing and learning but, in terms of meaningful relationships, sometimes in spite of myself God has allowed me to impact many lives at Broken Arrow, Oakview Bible Church, then IBC, and in my neighborhoods. I am very grateful. Even now to be able to continue to be involved in meaningful work and ministry is a blessing I will not take for granted.
So, what is next? A new semester looms before us at IBC. Regular classes begin January 19th. Lord willing, I will be facilitating Creative Ministry Methods in the second term, team teaching Personal Finance throughout the semester, teaching individual music classes (Piano, Guitar, Voice, and maybe Bass), overseeing the Christian Service Assignments for the second- through fourth-semester students, leading the alumni relations team, and serving on the President’s Cabinet and museum team. One of the women I was life coaching has made the decision to leave IBC but I will still be working with the other woman.
Your involvement through prayer and, as God directs, through finances, is still very much appreciated.
- Please join me in praying for the young woman who chose to leave IBC during the last week of the semester.
- Pray for the safe return of the remainder of the students after winter break.
- Pray for continued wisdom for me as I strive to finish well.
Gratefully,
Martha
