Dear Team Members,
G’Day from central Florida! We haven’t seen any alligators lately – just mosquitoes and hot weather. Not quite sure how we coped many years ago without central air-conditioning!
GREAT NEWS: Our 2nd Great Grandchild was born August 29th to Charles and Shawna Case. Zaiden Alexander Case – 7 lbs 15 oz 21 ½ inches long! All are doing fine. Of course I can hear Charlie saying “It is good to be a Great Grandfather, but not sure about being married to a Great Grandmother!”
Thank you for your continued prayers for our son Raymond. He is slowly adjusting to one kidney and gaining more strength each week.
Retirement! Not really sure what that word means! I know it does not mean there is nothing to do! Wednesday mornings find me, Cherrie helping in a Prison Ministry where we correct Bible Study papers done by prisoners. The first three pages of each study are easy to correct. The last page is in two sections: In the first section they write what the portion of Scripture is saying and the last section they write how it affects them. We are then able to write comments to encourage them and direct them if they don’t understand the portion of Scripture. It is challenging and most days I return home brain tired, but encouraged! Some of their remarks are so encouraging as their hearts change and they look to the Lord for His Salvation, and Daily Encouragement and Strength in their situations. Those of us involved would appreciate wisdom as we correct these papers, and for any of the prisoners who do not know the Lord as their Savior to put their faith in Him, and to daily grow in His Word and for victory in their circumstances.
Thank you so much for your continued prayers. With our upcoming trip to Australia in November we would appreciate prayers for all the details of our time there to come together – accommodation, and transportation. We continue to trust the Lord to lead, guide and direct our days for His Honor and Glory.
Thank you so much for your part in our lives. God bless you so much and encourage you where He has planted you.
With our Love,
Charlie & Cherrie
This quote that Joy Scott, a Special Friend, gave us years ago has been a blessing over the years: “Bear not a single care thyself. One is too much for thee. The work is Mine and Mine alone. Thy work to rest in Me.” – Hudson Taylor
