Greetings from Sanford, Florida!

Our Fall Pre-Field Orientation concluded on Friday evening and we are very thankful for the week that we were able to spend with our new associate members. Their ministry locations will be in South America and Asia-Pacific. One of the attendees said, “I came with so many questions swirling around in my head and I think I have gotten every one of them answered! I was able to take care of a lot of business and solidify a lot of concepts.”

In September it was good to hear about the response of the Biem people of Papua New Guinea to the Gospel message. ““This is God’s talk,” said one of the Biems. “I’ve heard it. See, it’s just one story, from the Old Testament to Jesus. There is no other road but Jesus. God meant it this way from the beginning.” Please be in prayer for the new Biem church.

Also, in October people traveled from all over the world–by plane, by canoe, and on foot–to celebrate the completion of the New Testament in the Bahinemo language. The Bahinemo people of Papua New Guinea received printed copies of the entire New Testament and 3,000 verses of the Old Testament in their own language recently. Missionaries who previously lived and worked among the Bahinemo traveled from the USA and Canada to celebrate this important occasion. Local people hiked for more than two days. Others made a five hour journey by motored canoe. Praise God that the Bahinemo people now have the Scriptures in their own language.

We give thanks to the Lord for the many blessings He has bestowed upon us this past year. On Thanksgiving we are looking forward to spending time with our daughter Kristen in Virginia. May God bless you with a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!
