It has been a busy summer! It has been filled with a church campout, whirlwind trip to Oregon (with daughter #2 Lizzy), annual board retreat, one-week vacation (where I built a retaining wall), performing eight annual staff evaluations, new staff orientation, and team-teaching our summer block class (just this week). We have our fourth work team (out of six) here right now and the campus is looking so much better!
Thank you for your prayers and support for the Indian Bible College–it is a thrill to be partnering with you by serving Native people here!
I’ve attached an announcement for an upcoming opportunity: after 50 years of leading tours to Israel this fall is my friend Woodrow Kroll’s last trip (October 22-29). For over 20 years I’ve personally wanted to go to Israel and more recently I’ve prayed for the opportunity to take Native believers. The board has encouraged me to go with Dr. Kroll for the last trip and to attempt to take others with me (and explore an exchange program with an Israeli Bible college).
So I share this for two reasons:
- Would any of you like to go with me? The trip discount (see attached) applies to friends of IBC. Please let me know right away if you are interested; the money is due in early September.
- If you are not able to or interested in going, would you consider giving a financial gift to help me go? The board has asked me to raise the majority of the cost and so I need your help! Please prayerfully consider helping me go on this trip to prepare to take future generations of Native leaders to the land where their Savior walked. Please also pray that a few other staff or alumni might be able to join me on the trip.
Gratefully in Christ,
Dr. Jason Koppen
