We have learned that some of our prayer warriors have been worrying about our health because they had not heard from us for quite a while. We do apologise for that. We are well and are enjoying what the Lord gives us to do each day. The days have been full once again since I returned from the five weeks I spent in Cairns getting medical help in August and September. We are presently staying with the tribal team in North Waghi up near Banz in W.H.P. [for anyone who wishes to explore on a map.] We came up for a vacation on 17th December and tomorrow will return to Sobega.

We had a wonderful time celebrating our Saviour’s birth with the Hulley and Lenz families. We have been staying in the Wilsons’ house because they are on a medical furlough seeking help for a problem with Nelli’s thyroid gland. You may remember seeing pictures taken when we were here helping with the building of the house a few years ago.

Pangua, one of our Sobega workers accompanied us and he removed the branches of two trees so that they are ready for felling. The trees belong to the family on whose land
the team is living and will be used by that family for house building.

You can’t see the rope which Bill and others are pulling. However, they are assisting Pangua in his climb using a rope over the bottom branch and attached around his waist.

Medical Update on Lynette

As you know three precancerous polyps were removed. After we return to Australia in the latter part of this year, I shall have to have another colonoscopy to check whether any regrowth has occurred and if so have it removed.

I do have several kidney stones but I did not have the finances to be admitted as a private patient and have these broken up using shock waves. The waiting lists to have it done under Medicare were far too long. So I shall get on a waiting list after we return to Australia and then have it done.

There is much more I want to tell you but I shall finish here and write again very soon. I particularly want to fill you in more on our plans for our long-term future.

Rejoicing in the assurance that our new year WILL be blessed,
Bill and Lynette

This poem is our prayer for you as it is for ourselves as we begin this new year of 2013.

Another year is dawning,
Dear Master, let it be,
In working, or in waiting,
Another year with Thee.

Another year of mercies,
Of faithfulness and grace;
Another year of gladness
In the shining of Thy face.

Another year of progress,
Another year of praise,
Another year of proving
Thy presence all the days.

Another year of service,
Of witness of Thy love,
Another year of training
For holier work above.

Another year is dawning,
Dear Master, let it be
On earth, or else in heaven
Another year for Thee.
