A quick hello from the desert! Yes, we are still in the 90’s most days, although we have enjoyed quite a bit of rain which cools things down for a short time.
God’s Word continues to go out in Mexico! We are trusting Him for a helicopter to fly in the ruggedmountainous terrain where we cannot build airstrips. A few days ago it was again very apparent that the helicopter would be a useful tool in that country. The following is from our team in Tepic (Kim’s sister and brother-in-law). They received an emergency flight request from some Christian Huichol friends “In a remote village in the Sierras a wall fell during a church construction project an crushed a dad and his two children. It is extremely difficult for us to reach the closest airstrip, even if our airplane was here. If UIMA had a helicopter, we may have been able to land right intheir village to transport them immediately to a hospital. It is becoming more and more apparent that the Lord is continuing to guide UIMA towards beginning a helicopter operation in Tepic.
The spiritual health of the Huichol people is our ultimate concern. A helicopter will not only be able to help in these types of physical emergencies, it will provide transportation for pastors and missionaries to reach isolated villages that do not have access to airstrips. The process of building a helicopter operation is overwhelming, but we serve a mighty God.” To learn more about this need, watch our Helicopter Project video at http://uimaviation.com/helicopter-project-2//
God has blessed Blake with a beautiful home. Almost all of the modifications we needed to make are complete. Blake has just started having a care giver come a few hours a day for 3 days a week. This will allow Bart to be able to get to the hangar more often. THANK YOU to you who continue to pray for Blake! He is doing well in school although it takes him quite a while to finish homework. He continues with therapy 4 days a week. We have not given up hope for more improvement! A friend of Blake wrote these encouraging words to him, “When progress is discouraging; when running seems like only a dream; I pray that you would run into God’s everlasting arms and find refuge and strength in Him.” What an encouragement to be able to find strength in our loving Father who cares for us so much!
We have moved most of our things from our home in McNeal up to Blake’s home here in Tucson. Please pray for the sale of our home down in McNeal! Kelly’s wedding is almost here! We have several family members and friends flying in for the big event! We are thankful God gave her a young man who loves the Lord. We are thankful for each of you who pray for us! God’s faithfulness has been clearly evident as He guides us through each day. “Yet this I call to mind and therefore have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness!” Lamentations 3:21-23
May you all enjoy the beauty of Fall and have a Blessed Thanksgiving! We ARE thankful for you! As always….sending our love from Tucson, AZ
Under the Same Wing,
Bart and Kim
