Thank you so much for your love, prayers and gifts! We are deeply grateful for your part in helping to share the love of Jesus with the Hewa tribal people of Papua New Guinea.
Praise the Lord with us that the NTM Chief Pilot who came to inspect our future airstrip site was very pleased with our progress! He told us he would start the paperwork with the PNG government so that by the time the grading of the dirt is finished the proper permits will be issued for the new airfield. This is such great news as John George and I have been driving the tractor from dawn until dusk each day, working hard to reach the ¾ mark before our departure from the tribe. Please pray with us that the tractor will keep running and everything will come together so an airplane can land in the village soon.
Praise the Lord with us that our recent consultant review of our translation work in Romans, Ephesians and I Corinthians was a success! We are very grateful that these three books can now be officially added to our growing Hewa New Testament. We feel very grateful to be used of the Lord in this way despite our human weakness and inabilities.
Praise the lord with us that many Hewa people from other Hewa hamlets are starting to move to our village. When we first moved to join this village back in 2008, there were a total of 45 people in the community, but the village has now grown to over 100 and counting. These new people are asking that our Bible teachers will begin teaching a new Creation through Christ overview of the Bible. Please pray this thirst for God’s Word will continue to grow and many people will trust in Christ for a saving relationship with Him.
This will be our last prayer update from PNG as Susan and I are now making final preparations to fly home to be reunited with Micah and Mikayla just in time to watch 4th of July fireworks. We can’t wait to see our family and friends! We plan to be in Phoenix for the majority of our 6 month home assignment and will also be making trips to Idaho, Washington and California. Please let us know if you would like for us to come see you.
