Greetings from Steve and Sandy Aholt,
We are so thankful for your continued financial and prayer support. We would not be able to attempt great exploits for Christ without you!
Steve had his first surgery this afternoon. We arrived at 10:30 AM and finally were seen at 4 PM. We were the last procedure of the day. Prophecy was fulfilled today. The first shall be last. That is exactly what happened today. We were the first ones to check-in and the last ones to be seen. Praise the LORD that we were able to use that as an inroad to witness for Christ’s love and forgiveness.
The procedure was a left DeQuervains release. It lasted about 20 minutes. We finally left the hospital at 5:30 PM. Sandy faithfully waited with me the entire day.
We are presently living in Cairns, Queensland Australia, and it is in the path of Cyclone Ita. Ita is presently a maximum category 5 cyclone. A cyclone is what a hurricane is called when it occurs south of the Equator.
We are packing up our valuables and 3 days of food supply items as we follow the Tree Tops Lodge cyclone preparation plan. The weather forecast is for us to experience at least a category 3 storm. The storm is presently packing wind speed of 270 km per hour (168 mph) winds. We experienced Hurricane Hugo and saw the devastating effects from that, and now we will experience Cyclone Ita.
We are sending out this email in advance of the storm. The electric power and other utilities may be inoperative making it impossible to make further contact.
Those of you who have been praying for baby Levi Lindsay and would like to keep informed of his progress, you can get updates at the following Caring Bridge site.
Listening for the trump and praying,
Steve and Sandy Aholt
