In a few hours, Lord willing, I will be heading for Phoenix in preparation for flying out Sunday morning to attend the Getty Sing! Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. If you are not acquainted with Keith and Kristyn Getty, they are probably the world’s foremost English-speaking hymn writers. One of their first hymns to become well-known was “In Christ Alone.”

I am looking forward to the music, to singing in the choir, to worshipping Christ in a huge throng from all over the world, meeting other hymn enthusiasts, and, for a few days, leaving behind some of the stress of starting a new school year. I’d appreciate your prayers for His will in every aspect of the trip—meeting new people, interacting in the airport and on planes, rooming with someone I’ve never met before, finding food that I can eat in downtown Nashville, etc. Pray that God would sharpen my music skills and provide new ideas and concepts for me to bring back to my church and IBC.

I plan to be back home Wednesday evening and back at IBC Thursday morning.
God has blessed us with nine new students.

I have the privilege of life coaching two of the women and teaching another in English. Pray all the students would adjust well, feel a part of the IBC community quickly, and would know God’s peace as the start this new adventure.
Thank you so much for your prayers!
Gratefully,

Martha
