Greetings from Arizona,

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 ESV

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take

heart; I have overcome the world.

Jesus speaking in John 16:33 ESV

In this season my heart has been filled, by God’s grace and mercy, with an abundance of gratefulness and peace. For most of June/July our schedule at Indian Bible College (IBC) is quite different than the rest of the year mainly because we don’t teach summer classes nor meet with the students regularly except for Tuesday morning chapel with those who are in Flagstaff for the summer. And yet, my workdays have been quite full as the Financial Aid Administrator preparing for the new school year. I’ve been going through extensive webinar training to learn about upcoming changes/regulations, associated with Title IV funding which is a federal government program.

IBC Summer on Mission

A number of students, staff and recent graduates have been engaged with ministry this summer at youth camps, through leadership training and overseas mission trips. We praise God for the impact, experience and safety for the overseas missions travels to Africa (Christina – Uganda, Kyon – Kenya), Israel (Jason, Sarah, Brina, Kelly, Aaron), France/Spain (Daniel, Coreen, Joshua, Cece), as well as the students who are serving the Lord around the Southwest. Please pray for spiritual fruit from all the on-mission interactions and experiences throughout the summer.

Student enrollment for Fall 2023

The final push of recruitment is taking place now and in the coming weeks in Arizona, New Mexico and Oklahoma. There are already 6 students accepted for the fall and several potential students in the application/admissions process.

Please pray for more potential students to take that step of faith to apply and for spiritual protection over those
who are in process or planning to become an IBC student. Our hope is to have 10-15 new students.

Personal Health

I’d appreciate prayers for my ongoing health concerns. For about 2 ½ years I’ve been dealing with a condition
where my body is producing too much calcium (hypercalcemia). In mid-May the Nephrologist (kidney doctor) referred me for a bone biopsy. That test result was negative but the appointment led me to further testing (CT & PET scans). Thankfully, the PET scan was negative, but the CT scan results landed me in the hospital for several days the third week of June due to multiple blood clots.

No wonder in early to mid-June I had such shortness of breath, lack of appetite, energy, and an overall blah
feeling. After 2 weeks on 24/7 oxygen (it was interesting hauling around oxygen tanks in my backpack or on a cart) the clots dissolved enough for me to breathe without coughing including deep breaths, which allowed me to go off the O2. Each day I’m regaining strength, energy, clarity of thinking, etc. So nice!

I’ve been diagnosed with Pulmonary Sarcoidosis an autoimmune disease, which likely is the cause of the
hypercalcemia (and blood clots, etc). My next appointment in early August is with a Pulmonologist to focus on the
enlarged lymph node(s) in my chest.

Prayers needed for continued clarity for next steps, wisdom in possible treatment plans, etc. THANK YOU!

United with you in prayer for our lives and God’s Kingdom work,
