Dear partners,

The fall semester is underway and our campus housing is full again!  Thank you for your prayers:  we have seven new students and three students who have returned after a season away and have a headcount of 37 students taking classes (26 students living on campus).  The Fall Newsletter (out in November) will have the pictures & prayer requests of the full-time students.  After three years of lower enrollment (and unused housing), it is so good to again be using our campus housing to its full potential!

This semester I am teaching three classes, one of which is Human Relationships in a hybrid format (in-person and online) on Tuesday nights, and have 20 people in the class (plus a teaching assistant).  Fourteen are in the room and six are live online via Zoom (attending from Arizona, New Mexico, and Wisconsin).  It is a lot of fun!  Last night we looked at the “One-Another” statements of the New Testament; I’ve attached a copy of this discipleship tool for your edification.

We are experiencing some significant spiritual warfare as we begin the semester; please continue praying for the Lord’s protection.

I am forwarding the most recent update from Daniel & Coreen Esplin, which shares the details of a three week recruitment trip through the upper Midwest region of the country.  Please be praying with us for this important trip as we continue to pray for “75 by ’25” (see here: for the explanation of that).

Thank you for your partnership,

Dr. Jason Koppen

President, Indian Bible College

Update from the Esplins:

18 DAYS, 5 STATES, 2,200+ MILES:

Enrollment has been a threat at Indian Bible College, since COVID, but things are changing with your prayers. Enrollment is increasing! Daniel will be on a recruitment trip for IBC September 12th-30th. He will be visiting 15 different tribes across Wisconsin, Minnesota, North & South Dakota and Montana. Recruitment visits include high schools and meeting with key ministry leaders along the way. Coreen will accompany Daniel for the first week then fly back to Flagstaff.
Pray for productive recruitment events, prospective students, and safety on the road. Recruitment has never been done in this area so join us in praying for this trip. Thank you for investing in Native America by your prayers, words of encouragement and financial support as we serve at Indian Bible College!
