Dear friends,
How are you doing this month? We hope you are finding your peace through Christ, the only lasting peace we can have. Jesus said,
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27.
He didn’t say this when things were going well, but as He was preparing his followers for His death. They would go through the darkest days of their lives before they found out that the penalty had been paid, and that Jesus had conquered death and risen!
One way to find peace and contentment is to take the focus off yourself and your problems. We encourage you to spend some time in prayer this month for missionaries who have left family and homes to share the gospel with those who have never heard. There are millions of stories that are being written across the globe, and we are honored to share just a few of them here at Missionaries Online.
Missionaries in Papua New Guinea are working hard at sharing the gospel in many areas. Some are hearing it for the first time, and some have second-generation leaders in established churches. You can read Hope Sharp’s update to hear about some of the work that is going on there: https://mmol.org/2022/01/15/january-2022-2/
In Flagstaff, AZ, Native American students are being trained to be evangelists in their home areas. Martha Gushee writes about some of the news from Indian Bible College: https://mmol.org/2022/01/11/january-2022/
The Burlesons help new missionaries find their calling and make it out to where God is calling them. You can read about their work in their Winter update: https://mmol.org/2022/01/04/winter-2021/
All of these people, the ones who have been sent and the ones to whom they have been sent would love to have you praying for them, lifting them up to the throne of grace. Thank you!
