Greetings All,

We trust this finds you well and that you had a very nice Thanksgiving last month. We enjoyed having our kids with us this year and soaked up every minute of them not to mention enjoyed a very nice Turkey Dinner. We were missing some very important people around the table that day but were able to thank the Lord that they were with HIM and enjoying being in the presence of Jesus. We are thankful too for the Lord inviting and including us in His ministry in Asia Pacific and allowing us to be a part of what He is doing in the Wana people’s hearts and lives. We know our parents and loved ones who weren’t able to be around our Thanksgiving table are enjoying being with so many Wana people who have already gone to be with Jesus too. Yes, we have a lot to be thankful for.

We would to ask for your prayers in these next months. It is my heart’s desire to be able to start making my trips back and forth to Asia Pacific as normal. Yes, with all the modern technology we are able to keep up with Translation, Lesson development, teaching online, and even doing church planting consultant work, but it isn’t the same as being there face to face, which I so much desire to be doing on a regular basis once again. As you know this past week brought the news of a new Coronavirus strain which is causing countries including Asia Pacific to tighten up borders once again. It seems this is being highly politicized by governments around the world so we would just like to ask for your prayers for the Lord to open up the doors to make international travel feasible once again. Currently, I am making plans to depart for the Asia Pacific in mid-March. For a number of years, we have been planning on taking Geoff and Tina along with me on this trip. The Wana people have never been able to meet Geoff’s wife and they have been really looking forward to this time with them. Geoff of course grew up in Wana and it goes without saying that all our MK kids growing up in Wana were an important part of our ministry. We know that God is able so just appreciate your prayers that if this is HIS will that he will open the doors for us to go.

Wana Bible Conference, Village of Padalempe

Object lesson during one of the meetings.
The Wana people like to decorate the inside of the church, Also notice that the men always sit on one side of the church and the women on the other – which is just a custom in this part of the world.

We recently were able to facilitate a church-wide Bible conference in Wana. It was held in the village where Jeanne and I have our house and lived for many years. This church was going through some struggles so we have been able to give them some special attention the past few months and are happy to report that they are really encouraged at this time.

Some of the ladies were able to get together in the afternoons for studying the Word together
The church leaders meeting together in the afternoon – Jeanne and I let them use our house for these meetings plus some of the families from the other villages attending were able to stay in our house as well.

Thanks so much for being a part of what the Lord is doing in Asia Pacific – we appreciate you very much.

God Bless,

Ed & Jeanne
