Thank You from Dave and Diann Yunker

“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.

They are like trees  planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water.

Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought.

Their leaves stay green and they never stop producing fruit.”

Jeremiah 17:7, 8

Greetings from Kennewick!

The months are rolling by in a hurry and we are now halfway through the spring! We are enjoying this season of what I would call  “freshness” here in the Tri Cities. It is certainly a pleasure to see the greening of the landscape plus the veggies in our garden are growing well. Looking forward to that fresh produce!

The Pre-field Orientation for the new associates is rapidly approaching. There will be a nice sized group ( 6 couples and 4 singles) attending the orientation in Sanford, Florida. Diann and I will be flying to Florida on the 10th to assist in the event. It will cover 10 days from June 14th through the 24th. We would appreciate prayer for safe travels, strength, and good fellowship for all who will be attending.

The new Ethnos360 Team members will be serving in the USA, the Asia Pacific region, Papua New Guinea, Mexico, the Philippines and Brazil. Your prayers are for these folks are appreciated as they complete paperwork , raise support and wrap up a multitude of details before getting to their place of ministry. The Lord has provided choice individuals with skills ranging from Information Technology, Business Administration, Teaching, Landscaping/Surveying, Physical Therapy, Cooking and Childcare. They want to use their talents in furthering the Kingdom of God.

Just recently a people group in the Asia Pacific area heard the gospel after weeks of teaching in the evangelistic phase. Eriak is a man who has been the church planting team’s language and translation helper for the last seven years. Each week the missionary reviews the lesson with Eriak for the following week. He does this to be sure everything is clear and natural and ready to be taught in the language of the people. This gives Eriak the privilege of hearing everything first. Here is what Eriak said after hearing about the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus:

“I believe that Jesus’ blood paid for my sins. I cannot and no one or nothing else can save me, but Jesus can and has saved me. This is it. This is the main talk that we’ve all been waiting for.”

This short video (2.54 minutes) is titled, “Why use the Heart Language.” The short answer to the question of why?—It makes the most sense. Eriak is able to testify to that! Thank you for your faithful partnership in finance and prayer in the work of getting the Gospel to the language groups in the remote regions of the earth!
Together with you for Him,
Dave and Diann
