Dear Friends and Family,

Please see attached letter just to bring you all up to speed. As many of you know, we were donated two King Air aircraft and we are in the final planning stages of bringing the first one out here to Yap. A lot of work has gone into making this happen and we are so excited that it’s all coming together. But we still need a lot of prayer. I apologize if you do not know all the names mentioned in the text, but I wanted to send this report to all of you to ask for your prayers and to also bring you up to speed on where we are at in the whole process.

I had written the attached letter, below, to our PMA Team a week ago when I was expecting a favorable response from the National Task Force, but then they wrote us back with a denial of our plan to bring in Preston and Brock and their families with the plane. So I asked if I could resubmit a new plan without Brock’s family but just Preston’s and they will be reviewing that plan this Thursday. I also submitted a new plan to Palau to accept Brock’s family down there and they will be discussing that this week as well.

I went to the Governor last Friday and asked him to put in a special request to the President and they have already drafted a letter to emphasize the urgency.

I met with the Task Force here in Yap and we review the case to see how they can resubmit to the National task force to gain their approval. We really have a lot of good support from Yap State, and I hope that they can push the President and the Task force to allow this.

I called Senator Urusemal who is in session this week and he will see where he can help. I also called the U.S. Embassy in Pohnpei and shared everything with them to see if they can also give their support.

I am encouraged by every player in this operation who have stood fast on the common goal to keep moving forward. Virgil said that this is spiritual warfare and so I ask each and everyone of you to lift this trip up to the Lord and ask for him to open the doors. We have so many things in motion and the window to get this plane here is now. At east by our human eyes.

We must not lose sight of the fact that the Lord dropped these planes into our laps, he provided the Pilot to come cover for me so that I could go get training, and he provided our ferry pilot who got time off work to help us. We must have faith that “He who began a good work will be faithful to complete it until the day of Christ Jesus.” I am the one who needs this assurance the most. I need to loosen my grip on the control yoke and let my autopilot fly. I know HE IS ABLE. But I just can’t sit still until I’ve exhausted all the possibilities. But then, God cannot show us something awesome, if I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Ha ha. So this is a good lesson for me as well. Pray for me and pray for the miracle to come.

Thank you,

Amos
